I just looked up the definition of Void and one way its described is nothingness. Maybe it erases you from existence. This would strengthen my theory that our ghost is not reviving us but is actually cloning us. In The first mission the ghost scans our skeleton and creates our bodies and first armor from "available matter". If we look down the skeleton is still there.

And if void makes us nothing then how can the ghost possibly revive nothingness
