Dark Souls 3: Are whips any good?
Has anyone played around with the whips yet? And if so, how do they perform? I'd like to make a character that exclusively uses them, but id like to see if it's worth the investment.

Witches lock is amazing. If your looking to poise break or out damage your opponent, don't get it. However, if you excellent at spacing this weapon is godly. One of. If not the longest reaching weapon in game. Additionally the weapon catches rolls very easily. The one handed r2 is lethal in the right hands as the hitbox is deceptively huge, even hitting behind you. The two handed l2 is great for turtles, you can easily hit like 250-300 dmg through a maxed havels shield. Lastly, rolling attacks are great for when you have scrubby people who use dark sword or estoc.

5 RepliesWow. I'm glad no average player knows of this. Witches locks. Look up videos. It's one of the most OP Pvp weapons from has ever made. I use it when enemies are below half Heath but this thing will win you many battles

I haven't gone too deep on the whips yet. They're HELLA good against parry spammers in pvp tho. Of course, like with [i]most[/i] other weapons, they take some practice to get a feel for. Will slot one in sometimes if I'm not using an Ultra weapon. Also an ok way to spice up a quality build.
