Best places to glimmer farm?
Been low since the April update. Where's the best places to farm?

Same place as always...Mars mission exclusion zone on hard difficulty.

VIP patrol missions are worth 500 glimmer and 55 Vanguard rep, plus the glimmer you get from using the appropriate ghost or consumable..

I have a ghost for each race, whatever area I am in or strike I put on the appropriate ghost. Kills = glimmer.

2 RepliesExclusion zone mission on hard. Use a cabal consumable, kill everything except one in the 1st part, suicide, rinse and repeat.

Use a Warlock with Alchemist Raiments. Do VG bounties on patrol. Use a ghost that gives extra glimmer for the enemies you're killing. Use consumables. Profit. Bungie pretty much nerfed every other method from what I've experienced.

omnigul strike on heroic. Warlock with alchemists rainment and fallen and hive glimmer consumables. The only thing is that glimmer gain has a limit and you hit this pretty quick. Alternatively you could run the exclusion zone mission on heroic with network keys Doesn't really hit glimmer gain cap

Run old raids. Ran crota with a couple friends and got 10k easy. All the radiant shards and radiant energy can be turned into motes to the speaker for 250 glimmer a piece for shards if I remember right.

3 RepliesWhenever I've been farming 3oC at Draxis Throne room I end up with shed loads of ether seeds and fallen banners. Ether seeds mean even if you use the occasional heavy ammo synths for the rocket suicide you're only paying 250 glimmer from Variks. 30 minutes and I have all the glimmer from killing a dozen fallen over and over (including 3 yellow bars) and about 15 banners worth 200 each.

1 ReplyThe dark beyond "we've woken the hive" bit with a black wax idol. Don't kill the knight and rinse and repeat. I got 6000 glimmer in 1/2 hour.

When I start to get low, I usually just head to patrol missions on earth, Venus, and Mars. I use a set pattern on each planet, and usually only do the kill or grab missions. On earth in the middle(can't remember the name, but an ultra comes there), usually those give VIP missions, and the boss is right there in the building, but VIP awards 500 glimmer and the others are 250. This also serves as a dual purpose with the faction rep also. It's a fast way for me cause each mission only takes a minute or two to complete.
