• Knife gliding during your super is a pretty fun way to get around.

  • Back stab is a must. The perk is so broken it should just be called front stab.

    • Encore is near useless. QuickDraw is useful for PvP. Don't expect invisibility to be your end-all for PvP. Oh, and don't be some little shit that invis- or Blink-shotgun-melees. You make us look bad if you do that.

      • I run a Teir 5/0/5 with the Kherpri's Sting. Ship 'Nades, Better Control Showstopper, Escape artist (or fast twitch), Shadow Jack and Hungry Blades. I like the stings because it replaces Back stab and Stalker, Even a normal damage attack while invis will add 34 points of damage (sometimes enough to DoT a player to death). I've killed over shielded Defenders in their bubbles with the 4x damage Blink Strike. You can see how Escape Artist fits in here.
Yes Invisible works in PvP. You just have to be smart about it.
For PvE I run the same for yellow bar kills, maybe run razors edge for more range kills but most important I run a sword when I am Arc bladeing as well. Nothing worst then popping out of your super mid spawn with no melee attacks. Working on my exotic Arc and Void swords so I can off set my super selection (Arc paired with show stopper, Void with Razors edge or vice a versa) Again the super is good for killing Ads and red bars. Don't waste your super on Yellows ( That is what your melee + Sword is for.) ( 7 Ads = 7 Orbs. 1 yellow = 3 Orbs. simple math) Hope this helps

PVP Arcbolt Better control/blink Backstab Razors Edge Quickdraw (Fleetfooted is decent too) Hungering Blade I'd say Hungering Blade, Backstab and Quickdraw are the most important PVP oriented perks on that subclass. Don't use Invisibility perks on PVP! Mask of the Third Man works well on that class. Crest of Alpha Lupi and Lucky Raspberry are better options for Trials. For PVE Stalker and Shadowjack are probably the best perks since they provide invisibility which PVE enemies are oblivious to. Don't Touch Me gauntlets are good exotic to run too.

      • PvP showstopper QuickDraw and hungering blade are a must PvE do what feels best.. It's super is really only good to clear up mobs of low ranking enemies.. Don't bother using it on an ultra if you want to live.

      • I used BD recently for a bounty but ran with no invis perks active in PVP. It was a lot better than I thought it would be.

        • Always pop arc blade while in the air or behind cover then stay in the air while making your way to the enemy, you'll move much faster and be nearly impossible for snipers to hit. I don't run invis cause you have to sacrifice perks that are much better, hungering blade, quickdraw, blink and fast twitch are a must. All the grenades are really unreliable. However skip grenade is the best. The best exotic is definitely the tarantella chest especially if you're running a high intellect/ discipline build like you should with blade. If you master blink it will be the ultimate tool while using arc blade. And out in the open is a much better evasive move than shade step or twilight garrison. If you master it you'll still be able to evade with it in tight quarters. I recommend a high agility and armor build. Blink goes off of your momentum so if you're not sprinting agility helps quite a bit. The armor helps your super a lot and pairs well with hungering blade and life support perks on your guns which I personally like to use.

          • Save super for clumps of weak enemies, everything else takes too much energy to kill. (However, in challenge of elders, you DO get melee and super points with the shoulder chops, sk nice)

          • I mained bladedancer for a while now In Pve use all invisibility perks Pvp there are a few different playstyles that people use but here some of the most popular options and what I would suggest using use blink, once you get used to it its amazing, some people like better control but ive used blink for a long time and its so useful for closing gaps and also avoiding things like rockets and supers rn the best grenade option is skip grenade, or I you prefer it Flux grenade, but Flux grenade can be survived with enough armor so most people use skip Super razors edge(the one that shoots the bolt forward) Melee, a lot of people like backstab but I prefer fast twitch because it gives most of my melee attacks the extra range 1st perk Personally I prefer fleet footed, but the majority of players prefer Quickdraw so just see which one you like 2nd perk Hungering blade is definitely the best option in this column Sorry if this was a little long. Hope it helped
blade dancer...pve
I can't remember the last time someone mentioned those two things at the same time without saying some form of "no" or "bad". Seriously, it's easier to just use a sword. But, if you really want to use it, (like I do, because screw balance) you need to make sure you have at least two invisibility perks, because those are the only useful ones. You can use the other two slots for things you just want to use. You also don't want blink, because that cancels invisibility. (Fun fact: you used to be able to stay invisible after a blink, but they changed it pre-release.) Also, if you have the Tarentella, that's the best exotic, no contest.

              • Pvp: You're in OK shape. Invis, shotgun Pve: Less good for end game, but fun up until you hit the hardest activities. Invisible medic and crowd control are good roles.

              • Yea best tip don't use it. Super trash meele is bugged (if u outplay someone and hit them un the back eith BACKstab it dont count but hitting them in the fornt works better then hitting them on yhe BACK bungie logic.) Only thing that make it use able quickdraw and kneepads.

                    • For pve it's all about invis. The super is very weak against yellow bar targets. Use it on trash mobs.
