Psion flayer cloak
I've been farming for the void cloak for three days now and I have yet to get it to drop. I've been doing it in the heroic strike playlist and making sure I get the final blow and also making sure I kill the void psion flayer last and it's still not dropping. This isn't fun and it feels like a job. When you put something in a game it should be attainable. At this point I feel like the cloak I want isn't even attainable and I'm doing all of this grinding for nothing ? Please please please bungie increase the drop rate for all strike specifics. I play video games to have fun and enjoy myself, not to spend 3 days doing the same think over and over again and still not getting what I want. I just don't understand. By the time I do get that cloak, if I get it at all ! There will be a new DLC out and that cloak will be a thing of the past that I never got to experience. Every player should be able to experience all the armor in this game. Please just fix this !

When I did the nightfall I got the arc cloak, 310 Zhalo Supercell (I was 297), and treads upon stars with a solid roll.

Those cloaks are terribly ugly. All to their own I guess.

Wait for that strike to be a nightfall. You're wasting so much time, you could get it in an hour in a nightfall week

It is attainable, I got the void cloak while playing on my Warlock and I was just trying to finish some quest lol. Anyways, that's what makes games like these kind of fun and interesting imo. The fact that someone can have something that someone else doesn't. In the very beginning of Destiny Exotics and raid gear were very hard to come by and I loved that. I think it should be hard to get this stuff especially if it's just a cloak that you only want for style, it's no like a Gally or anything which was not only hard to get but was also game breaking. If they just hand stuff out to everyone there would just be no point in playing anymore.

Farming for a random drop is going to be a horrible chore, especially when it's as rare as those cloaks. You're better off just playing normally and hoping for it. You could also run the Nightfall a few times when it comes up. You'll have a very good chance there.

The same with me when I was farming for the darkblades helm. I got the damn thing... FINALLY. I wasn't even farming for it. I did the strike cause I was bored. Point is, is that it'll drop when you least expect it to.

LOL. I've played that strike about 50 times so far and haven't even gotten one to drop. I actually had better luck getting the Grasp of Malok than I have with these cloaks. The Grasp took about 5-6 hours of farming but these stupid cloaks have taken forever...and there's three of them. Guess I'll just have to grind it when it's the nightfall and hope for the best.

Are you using a titan or warlock? Using a different class seems to increase the odds of obtaining something class specific.

Yea Nightfall is definitely where these things drop ..and often. I did manage to get one on a lvl 36...but I cant tell you how many times it passes through my playlist before it did. I did one Nightfall and got a drop.

I think the nightfall works way better for getting exclusives, but you have to wait for them of course. I got all 3 cloaks in about 7-8 tries when the flayers were the nightfall. Also got 2 pairs of maulers from shield bros (both with sidearm loader :().
