The Bungie School (sort of)

This is the place to post links to/or tutorials on tips, tricks and ideas for game creation. For people that want to learn. every one can help every one else. anything you know that can help somone is good. tuts on max, maya, c++, cubase, photoshop just general pen and paper design i reckon unreal ed is a good engine to play with as it's easy to learn and comes with the game (unless bungie wants to help out. hint hint) so when everyones up to scratch you can make teams to mod stuff and learn what crunch time is yay!

 • sounds cool, does it have an actor x type plugin for max or maya freely availible? if so can you link for everyone. the only reason i sugested unreal ed is because all the mod stuff is free or it comes with the game, plus a lot of next gen games are gonna use the unreal engine.

 • I would personally recommend that wannabe developers start with a game like Half-Life. I did, and found it much easier than Unreal or LithTech engine editing.

 • wuz up do you know if halomods is supported by bungie in anyway? i only had a quick look but i couldn't see anything to do with bungie. not that it's bad but I don't want people to do something that might piss bungie off. This is just so people can learn the tools to make mods or gear them up for the industry. with that in mind the video tutorials on that site look cool.

 • I reccomend going to www.halomods.com It's a great site with tons of tutorials, not to mention video tutorials. There's a great, friendly comunity there, are they are willing to help out with any problems you have about moding, creating levels, tips, tricks, etc. If you haven't created an account (and you don't know much about moding) then you can go to the halomods new users forum [Edited on 9/21/2005]
