I'm looking to port my 360 Skyrim saves to the PC, but every guide I've found requires a program called Modio to be installed on my PC. I was wondering if the program was safe to use and didn't contain any adware, malware, or other-types-of-ware. I've tried asking people I know, but have had no luck. Googling it came up with overall positive experiences, but I'm still a little uneasy about it. So, if anyone could help, it'd be much appreciated. Thank you!

Just don't get it through an installer/downloader. Those are what'll get ya.

Depends on where you get it from also Horizon works to, it's best to get them from their direct sites, as far as adware goes programs tend to give you the option to disable it if there is any while doing the install Just a heads up for when you do port the save once you go to load it up the picture may show static but that's normal
