Is it still possible to get Vanilla and TDB Year 1 legendary vendor weapons in Year 2?
Sorry in advance as English is not my main language...
Is it still possible to get Vanilla and TDB legendary weapons during TTK? This has been a question in my mind for a while... I had to delete many of my favorite legendaries from both Vanilla and TDB period due to vault space issues during Y1 and before latest April update. And I am sure many of you had to delete your Y1 weapons as well... Now, I have enough space but unfortunately lost my Y1 guns already. I am looking ways to get them back by knowing almost no option for that... And I know they are useless during TTK but I like collecting and its always good to have few items in your inventory that will remind you year 1 of Destiny + you can always use them in crucible or low level activities...
The other day, I was doing lvl 20 legacy strikes from the playlist and had a random player with; 1,250 Grimore score, full set of 120-140 blue armor and weapons but holding Secret Handshake legendary shotgun from TDB DLC. Maybe he played few days during TDB and switched off more than a year? I don't know but it kind of motivated me if I may have a chance to get some Pre-HoW legendary by grinding something. PoE 28 is still giving Y1 HoW legendary gear and engrams that will give you HoW Vendor weapons... So there should be another way within the current game to get Pre-HoW stuff... The only way I can think of is; Lvl 20 Legacy Strikes... I tried to grind this playlist 2-3 days with newly created character but nothing yet. I believe its all about dropped engram types and their period if they belong to Y1 or Y2... There were other posts I read were saying; there can be a chance to get Beta items if you open a blue engram on lvl 2-9 character but couldn't test myself.
Before TTK, different strike play lists were giving different DLC weapons... You had chance to get Vanilla weapons from Vanguard Tiger strikes or below.. And chance to get TDB weapons from ROC strikes. It was rare as you had to get a blue engram which could turn into legendary with low chance... But it was doable.
So my question is; anyone got any Vanilla or TDB legendaries since TTK from any activities? Most probably answers will be "no" but looking forward to hear from others...

1 ReplyI have obtained multiple Yr1 Legendaries from 28PoE Fear Eater Armor Sanction Six Armor Sanction Custom Armor Commando Type 0 Armor Faction Armor (elector’s gear, imminent war gear, dead light gear) Hopscotch Pilgrim Unwilling Soul-09 (from engram obtained from PoE) Dry Rot High Road Soldier Up the Ante Dispatch l11 Loner.Rebel The Frenzy (from engram obtained from PoE) Wastlander V2V (From engram obtained from PoE) Snakebite Surgeon Unending Deluge III Exodus Plan RS/1 20/20 AMR KAU8 Constellation Scar The Culling (From engram obtained from PoE) I have ran Lv 28 PoE hundreds of times, took me ages to get all this Gear, have had many repeats. I’m glad to share my info with other collectors! All engrams were obtained in the after reward screen. If anyone can confirm if it is possible to obtain legendary class items from PoE, Any info is appreciated!

1 ReplyStart a new character. Vanilla weapons (rare and legendary) still drop until level 28 or so. Wild engram's decode into vanilla gear and crucible reward screen will grant vanilla gear. And as listed above, 28 PoE drops vanilla gear at the reward screen. The only vanilla gear you cannot get are event-specific gear (Queen's Wrath) and strike-only rewards like Evergreen II.I. Also, there were a few weapons that were only obtained through the decoding engrams, I am unsure of these, as I have yet to get one after HoW. I am also working on another method, message me if you are interested.

3 Repliesthe only way to earn anything close to that is vanguard/crucible rank up packages. they can drop year 1 weapons at year 2 attack values like shadow price and longbow. only obtainable y1 legendaries are HoW sadly.

8 RepliesFor year 1 weapons I do Prison of Elders. At the end of a Poelders level 28 screen rewards, I received a Hopscotch Pilgrim (Which can be reforged). Also a dry rot, similar 2 the v taken shotgun. This happened about 2-3 months ago. If I do it more often, never know what else could drop. And I thought the Hopscotch Pilgrim was from a strike only, but it drops in poelders. Also I had on my high light level, so light doesn't matter.

4 RepliesNot sure since taken king dropped but before that you could definitely get armour drops from tiger strikes, I also heard going on patrol and opening chests on an account that isn't 40 yet could get you legendary engrams even pre how but that's extremely rare. But as for blue weapons, if you're playing crucible with a pre 40 character you have a chance at getting some pretty decent blue weapons, personally though I'll be going back to poe and trying to get a judgement iv shotty.

I just tried to open blue armor engrams with my new lvl3 character and it gave me blue armor that I never seen before.. I guess those are from beta.. But I don't know. I will try weapon engrams as well.. I am more familiar with weapons vs armor

8 RepliesOut of Purple engram the other day i got the old NM shotgun (this is my second one i ketp mine from year 1) but seem like when you reroll weapons they have IV thats dont allow you to get some perks. But the new judgment i got allowed me to get kneepads and range finder 😇😇😇☺😀☝
