Smarter RNG? Bullshit.
With a 45+ hour work week, I don't have a ton of time to play. So when I rank up, it's a big deal to me. Since the update, I've only been able to rank up twice so far in PoE; and BOTH times I received the Hand of Judgement. This duplicate PoE reward follows a whole pile of duplicate exotics I've received from Three of Coins and duplicate Legendaries from Crucible and Vangard packages.
Your "smarter loot" system is living up to our expectations of you, Bungie.
The update definitely increased the fun-factor for me, but don't forget Bungie, this game would be a lot MORE fun if you'd put in some more thoughtful effort.

4 RepliesI've been trying desperately to get some new boots when I rank up, but after countless faction packages I have yet to see a single pair of new shoes. I keep getting the same stuff over and over again. It is getting really frustrating.

3 RepliesAgreed. I play every day for a few hours and I havnt gotten a single gun in weeks of grinding trying to get an ldr from ranking up vanguard. All it drops is armor and the same old ships with different names.

5 RepliesThe problem with gamers getting rewarded is a lot more would quit knowing there is no content. This is the main reason ttk was stretch out. Bungie never had anything until 2017.

2 RepliesNah, it's smarter... (in a Bungie-ish way) It knows what you don't have and then has a high probability not give it to you. And it keeps track of what it gave you last and has a high probability to give it to you again... Bungle rides again...

Bump. I've ranked up in the Crucible 3 times this week and every single package has given me a Spektar chest piece with a strength roll. I've opened over a dozen (maybe two dozen) Crucible packages since the April update and they have only and ever given me that chest piece, a ship or the Ruin Wake LMG. It's officially broken as ever... if not worse.

Every day, more and more I think of Bungie as completely retarded! BTW I'm on my 64th Crucible package no Longbow or Saterienne Rapier. I've only had 4 year 1 weapons from those 64 packages too!

5 RepliesThis game is based on grinding and styling your character. It's a challenge to get the loot you want (Which I love). A lot of MMORPGs now a days just give you a handful of goodies which is boring. I prefer to work hard for my loot so It's even more rewarding. I got my Gjallarhorn in year 1 from a legendary engram back when I played on ps4 after 2 months of farming it, and boy was it -blam!-ing orgasmic...

5 RepliesIt sucks when your missing one exotic. Every time I'm lucky enough to get a special weapon engram, it turns into a hear after. I am missing the zen meteor, and have 11 hear afters , and 6 telesto. It would be great if you would allow trading or fix the damn RNG. It is a joke. Don't even get me started on the stupid night fall rewards.

Never mind, we run 4 poe challange and i got 1 rep upgrade from house of judgement. Here is what i got; [b]5 Cloaks[/b] Not different or hight light level or something. 5 same cloaks, only 1 on of them 1 light above from i was wearing. That's smart rng my ass...

Yeah I'm kinda salty at the moment BC I grinded since the update for a new sniper. I got a sniper with ok perks, but its seriously the most unbalanced gamble in the history of time to actually GET the sniper plus perks I want. I have officially given up. I'll use what I have and make due. The grind is there, and maybe its for some people. I will say there's no incentive to grind PvP to the point where it isn't even enjoyable anymore (which is sad) or grind the same old strike after strike for a chance to maybe get the weapon I want (1/100) then at that, maybe get an alright roll. I can't enjoy a game like that. I guess I'll just become a casual.

Every week and I mean EVERY week I run into fake RNG loot with exotics. I always end up opening double of any item. I get two heavy weapon exotics and both are dragon breath. next week same thing but both are that same high ammo machine gun, opening the weekly boxes looking for special armor? I can open it up five times in a row and get the same spekter leg piecs for my titan five times straight. Then a week later I get the helmet 4 to 6 times ....with nothing else. rng is not random in destiny. they weight certain things heavily each week.

6 RepliesDoes anyone know if Bungie has in any way, shape or form acknowledged the issue with 334 item drops at 335 and "1 in 100" for entire item types? (Whether the answer is "bug" or "working as intended") Or are we already back to the good old days of the mute ostrich policy?

They nerfed the drops with the last two patches. Week one and two I was rolling in better gear each time something dropped. But ever since the crucible balance patch it's rare for anything to drop above my light level.

7 RepliesI got 330 light items during the nightfall on a 335 character. That is ridiculous if you ask me. That not only doesn't help my current character in any way, but it also doesn't help any of my secondary characters.

3 RepliesShit, I'm only 317 and I hardly ever get better loot. Thats a huge pool to pull from if you ask me. My boots and gauntlets are still only 311 and I get new legendary boots and gauntlets with almost every package, but almost never higher than where I'm at. Proof ita full of shit. That being said, I dont expect EVERYTHING that drops to be higher; it should still give me something new at least every other run through. 😒
