  • I'm glad elemental primaries are gone. I didn't even look at the vendor weapons until ttk because I was set with elementals. Why would anyone use kinetic damage when you could melt shields? Will of light being inherent on the raid weapons was a good compromise, and I hope to see similar buffs on raid weapons to come, but never again the universality of elementals.

  • Oddly enough, since they've done away with all year one weapons (elemental primaries included) I've got a far smaller arsonal than I had throughout the entirety of Vanilla, Dark below, and House of wolves. Year one weapons used: Shadow Price. Revelator. Light Beware. Zombie Apoc. Fourth Horsemen. Fang Ir Yuit. (Elemental) LDR. Word of Crota. (Elemental) Felwinter. Praedyth's revenge. Murmur. Dry Rot. Hard Luck charm. Stalker BNGL. NL Shadow 701x. Hezen Vengeance. Sword Breaker. Harms Way. Fate Bringer. (Elemental.) Ediolon Ally. Corrective measure. Grim Citizen. Strangers Rifle. Vision of Confluence. (Elemental.) Cryptic Dragon. Atheon's Epilogue. (Elemental.) Noblesse. Up for Anything. Red Death. Devil you know. (My favorite.) 77 Wizard. Party Crasher. Judgement VI. Found Verdict. One way ticket. Ice Breaker. Year two weapons used: Inward Lamp. Badger CCL. Hung Jury. First Curse. Her Fury. Suros JLB 45. Sword. Her Revenge. Devil you know. And there were more weapons I used in year one but these being off the top of my head and having cleaned some out from my vault, I feel like it's almost disturbing at some of the "Variety" There is now. Plus saying there is more now than back then is a bit lame when you see everyone running stock hungjury and Mida. :/

  • Well, there is more variety outside of crucible. You gotta ignore meta-slaves as they're stubborn and ignorant. NL Shadow 701/X is actually a lot better than hung jury if you get a decent roll. And yes, there is more variety because we didn't have armsday in y1, only 4 exotics stayed behind, and we got a whole slew of new ones plus strike-and-crucible-exclusive firearms. If people choose not to use them, then they're the kind of people who would rather do well than have fun, and they'd abuse the system regardless. Even if it was only a light advantage, and it cost them everything. Kinda sad to think about.

  • I agree that year 1 lacked variety due to fatebringer and VoC, but I maintain those guns were heavily preferred due to their god-roll perks, not the elements they possessed.
