A simple solution to get rid of LAG SWITCHING permantly.

We've all been a victim of these nefarious devices at one time or another. So here's something that can be done to prevent it. One of the features of modern consoles is that they detect if you have the console connected to the router either by Lan (Ethernet) or by Wifi. And all latest generation of consoles include built in Wifi. So all Developers need to do is detect when players are using lan/ethernet, and block access. Only allowing players with Wifi to connect. Just think about it...If there's no physical direct connection, then there's no way to physically interrupt that connection. That might be a big plus if a company like Bungie could be one of the first Developers to pull that off. Ta da! Thank you, I'll accept my noble peace prize in the form of bumps and likes.

  • I'm sorry but that's not gonna happen. Most common connection issues are do to the device being connected to wifi rather than hardwired. WiFi connections, especially the 2.4ghz channel will produce unreliable speeds do to ingress and ergress. There are millions of broudcasts from other devices around 2.4ghz that cause what's called noise, your device and router don't know the difference between the "noise" and your actual signal. This causes slow Internet speeds and or a bad connection that drops off constantly.
