Why "Rise of Iron" is most likely legit

The day of the image leak is the 1 year anniversary of House of Wolves, to the very day I believe that if this was a hoax fan art, it would have been something more extreme, like a giant Cabal emperor stomping on a hive monster or something over the top like that. This looks like a very believable image that could be sold as posters or something. Lord Saladin and the other lords of iron were responsible for leading survivors to the city and for building the first wall. Look behind Saladin in the leaked image. The wall is destroyed. This was clearly a conscious choice when this image was being made. More than likely, he will be the main quest giver in the expansion and we will be trying to push back something that is trying to attack the tower. Look at the quality of the image. I can't find any fan art online that looks this legit. Wow. If this is fake, bungie needs to hire whoever made this. Tthe person who wrote the Kotaku article confirming this has also confirmed past destiny leaks that also turned out to be true The original post has been deleted. If this is fake, why delete it? Damage limitation: leaking the image was probably an effort to divert attention away from trials and iron banner getting canceled due to the recent heavy ammo glitch. (forum user YahyaTV pointed this out) The main reason I think it's legit: We all know an expansion is coming in just a few short months. We know it's getting announced at E3 next month so obviously it is natural that something like this would slip through the cracks around this exact time. It makes sense that they would have promotional images like this ready to go once the official announcement is made. Thoughts?

 • Timing is about right as well. E3 is in June which is a perfect time to show a reveal. And best way to get people interested is to let something small get leaked before a big event.
