Please remove PM reporting from private groups. It makes no sense. If the message on the group wall was taken poorly by someone in the group, they can leave the group. If the post is against the rules of the group, the moderation of the group can take action. Stay out of our private groups, especially since you don't distinguish when people are jokingly ribbing each other vs. being harassed. This site is quickly becoming a completely undesirable community to be a part of, the private groups were one of the last bastions of sanity and safety from absolutely ridiculous behavior and terrible post quality.

56 RepliesBeing inside a private group or clan does not give you a free pass from breaking the Code of Conduct.

Yeah!!!

Yeah, seriously. One thing that would just make this a lot better would be to just make it so muting effects private groups and get rid of the stupid pm banning.

Edited by iDovahBear: 5/20/2016 10:20:44 AMMake friends with people who aren't -blam!-bois who hit Report on the slightest things. Oh and don't say it on Bungie.NET, I'm pretty sure Bungie Workers get an E-Boner when a chance to use their hammer occurs. I imagine they have a tally they report to Luke Smith for a bonus of Extra Spicy RNG on their next Faction Package or something. (If they even play the game... who knows at this point.) (Sarcasm is obvious I hope.)

You're complaining about ridiculous behavior on the forums, but then saying you should be allowed to have such ridiculous behavior in your group? Sounds like a double standard to me.

Edited by Johnny Five: 5/19/2016 6:17:30 PMThis is why if you're gonna have a group of friends etc etc. that are apart of your group. Dont do any "groups" on that games website. Make your own. That way you dont have to worry about mooks. also there is psn communities
-
Yeah!!!
-
Then be civil about your responses. Any joking that can be taken as not intended is not good joking around in the first place. Common sense....

If you can't handle the code of conduct, then find a different place to go.

4 RepliesEdited by catrodsan: 5/19/2016 3:27:44 AMTheir forum and services, their rules. If you feel that strongly, some groups use outside services to message each other. The feature to report wouldn't be there if it wasn't necessary.

8 RepliesAgreed, only the group moderation should be able to decide right from wrong. Not some outsider.

Not to mention how long the website's been perfectly functional without this new "upgrade."
