Suros DIS 43 or 47 scout rifle for PvP?
I'm experimenting with different primaries as of late, and I'm wondering how viable either of these scout rifles are in PvP.
The DIS-43 appears to be the low ROF higher impact archetype while the DIS-47 seems to have a higher ROF and lower impact rating.
While rolls will dictate how good either of these rifles will be most likely, I was wondering if scouts follow the similar pattern as the high ROF pulse rifles, where being able to fire quickly and accurately will win the game, or is it the opposite, where you want to hit as hard as possible and end your fights in 2-3 head shots.
I currently have a DIS-43 with the following
Appended Magazine, Full auto and Hand laid stock.

I like the dis 47 better if you can get one with full auto. Gunsmith had a god roll a month or two ago

I like the DIS-43 more. Especially with the perk roll from Banshee a few months ago with SPO-57, Perfect Balance, Full Auto, and Hand-Laid Stock.

1 ReplyA dis-47 with a bad roll is better than a dis-43 with a good one. Pair a 47 with a titan holding the lord of wolves, wearing the no back up plans, and I bet you'll have the highest kd on your team that match. I hardly ever do it because it's almost too easy. It's just downright dirty lol

Depends on your play style. 47: strong vs. highly mobile targets in mid-long range - best with max stability perks & full-auto 43: strong vs. snipers or enemies at long range - best with extra stability and High caliber rounds. In my experience, I'm torn between both, i'm currently holding a 43 card waiting for a good armsday week. My only weapon-based reaper medal was from the 43 vs a team at long range, however the 47 has served me better overall as it shreds and holds its ground vs pulse & hand cannons mid range, so its versitile.

I have three different iterations of the 43 which i enjoy. Havent found a 47 set up that i like yet so im holding on to my gunsmith 47 package until i do.

43 with full auto is the closes equivalent to vanilla suros with focused fire. I use 47 to challenge snipers and strafe/duck.

Both. I have a fullauto 47 which is nice but i also have a max stability 43. Both are crazy good. Just sometimes i feel like runa nd gun shooting fast with the 47 and other times i like sitting back and sniping people out with the 43

4 RepliesI like the dis 43 better, I used to love the 47 with full auto but I feel like it gets phantom bullets. 47 will kill in 5 headshots, whereas the 43 can kill with as little as 2 headshots and 2 body shots. Also the range on the 43 is just great.

Either are viable in the crucible with good shot placement. It comes down to your playing style. Use the one you have and see how you do may find that you need slower rate of fire to get kills. Just test it and see. Personally I prefer the high ROF low impact (my saterienne rapier is awesome)
