History Repeats itself. Every DOOM is canon

So after reading a bunch of DOOM's lore, especially the new game's lore, it seems that vassicslly every DOOM game is canon. At least DOOM 1-4. https://m.reddit.com/r/Doom/comments/4ifcp6/its_not_really_a_reboot_the_events_from_all_doom/ The link I provided is of a person explaining this theory, and that was before the new game came out. And after reading a lot of lore, it seems true.

  • Doom 1, 2 & Doom 64 are the same guy, Doom 3 is a new marine, Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil is also a new marine, Doom 4 is definitely a new marine, that's as far as I know. I don't know if Final Doom fits into this, if it does, they'd take place between 1 and 2, with the same person, but, I'm not sure if they're even considered canon, regardless of being officially published.

    • Interesting read. The fact that he's been kept around and is 'resurrected' reminds me of what happened to Gordon Freeman after the events of Half-Life 1. He gets put into stasis until he is needed again. ..-blam!-.. Would they release Half-Life 3 already?! :(
