"The Traveler gave everything to save us from the Darkness. We honor its sacrifice, by making sure we thrive far away from this dead world."
Dead Orbit would have a point here... had it not been for grimoire cards stating the fact that the Traveler was going to abandon Earth and that Rasputin stopped it in place. So no, the Traveler never sacrificed itself, and has abandoned many races before. Now, the Traveler is determined to fight back against the Darkness.
In addition, factions are selected to have a presence in the Tower according to how useful the Vanguard's leadership believes they'll be for assisting with the Guardians' mission. In other words, the servants of the Traveler are of the opinion that a fanatical anti-Traveler political party is exactly what they need to lend them a hand. Dead Orbit's leaders are blissfully unaware of this.

Dead Orbit has the right idea, New Monarchy would just -blam!- it all up with politics and Future War Cult are insane. My two bits lol

What Grimoire are you referring to?

The Traveler is evil. The speaker is it's dark Priest. DO has the right idea.

I don't see them as anti-Traveller though. Just like you quoted them as saying, they want to home the Traveller's sacrifice by thriving far away... spreading the light beyond our world and possibly discovering/rediscovering the means to fully heal the Traveller and make a push towards another Golden Age. Have read many times where people want to accuse DO of "tuckin' and runnin" but ai just don't see it that way. Expansion, discovery, the desire to push back the darkness beyond the one morsel of land you can call "safe" should not be considered cowardice or mistaken for mere retreat. History does not look upon Hannibal or other historical likes as cowards or anti-social because they pushed their societal boundaries :)
