Thorn is now the worst exotic
Yeah, thanks a lot nerf babies, now 4th horseman looks like a good gun and Fabien strategy is laughing at it
Edit: To those who say it's still good. I'd rather use a legendary with rangefinder and hidden hand since, thorns perks are useless now.
Edit: i hope you realize my main weapon of choice is bad juju, thorn was never a crutch in year 2 but a support weapon intended to pin down snipers and other passive players. I only used it to counter snipers

2 RepliesLet's face it dude, Thorn was a bad idea to start with. It might have been awesome on paper, but giving a gun an incredible dot ability is just retarded, considering how much of a crutch weapon it was in year one. Getting two shotted from a sniping distance was never fun. I remember the days of triple Sunsinger warlocks all using thorn and Felwinters sniper. I'm glad they fixed thorn. It was a big problem.

If you need a sniper counter, get a heavy hitting scout or a scout with high caliber rounds. The thorn deserved the nerf it got, and honestly I think bungie did well to find a way to balance out the DOT. It's not ridiculous anymore, but it still does decent damage if you stack it. Also, 4th horseman has been good since the last time they buffed it (especially in arc burn activities). It unloads it's whole mag in less than a second, perfect for doing a ton of damage in a small amount of time. And thorn is still better than Fabian strategy, that gun needs a lot of work

PvP and PvE gear should be different like it is in the MMO I play. These constant nerfs killed a big reason we play this game........exotic loot! Most exotics have been nerfed into shit!

The 4th Horseman is awesome. It's not a PvP weapon. Try using it in Court of Oryx to see how good it is.

3 RepliesThorn is still the best hand cannon in the game. Forget all the perks it has more range than hawkoon and even first curse and is easy to get headshots. I am not a great player but I took it out the vault for one game yesterday and got a phantom medal using it. The aim assist on thorn is insane and it feels nicer than all other hand cannons. I like the fact I can use it now without people thinking I am doing it for cheap triple body shot kills.

1 ReplyThorn is probably still the most reliable handcannon. I've experienced no phantom rounds, its incredibly accurate. Great range and still hits like a truck. And the burn is nearly non existent now so it ain't really dirty to use anymore 😛
