I was there when Atheon fell. I heard his screams as we spilt his brain on the floor. The cries of the Gorgons as we took our weapons and stabbed out their eyes. The growling of the Templar as we kept him in place.
I heard the song of Ir Yut with my own ears. I saw the breaking of Crota's sword.
I split the head of the Warpriest open. I put a hole in Golgroth's chest. I murdered both Deathsingers. I saw Oryx float into oblivion as his life faded.
But there is something more. Something we won't survive. Power does matter now. But speed will matter soon.

The cabal attempted to flee. That landed them here in Sol. Lot of help that did them, huh? Even when oryx was still auryx on fundament. They attempted to escape the god wave. And they couldn't. They had to disobey the Leviathan, and go to the worm gods. And they survived. Even with sai mota and eriana-3. Both part of eris' fireteam. Both died. But sai tried to flee. And she died a horrible death. And she died first. Running won't get us anywhere. We run, we remain too weak to fight whatever comes next. Whether it be a cabal Armada, savathun or Xivu Arath, a greater axis mind, or worse. But if we fight. If we look to the veil to see what we must do; we will become strong. We will become powerful. We will understand. And we shall destroy whatever attempts to defy us. That is the only way. To destroy even the smallest glint of competition before it understands what has happened, and why it has transgressed. To become the shape of VICTORY. To rule so absolutely nothing will be capable of defeating us. EVER. Running will only prolong our failure. Fighting shall sharpen and augment our power And at least we can say we tried if it comes down to it.

Edited by The Arxfiend: 5/16/2016 5:43:46 AMThe cabal is actually a scouting armada. But out there are resources. We run, we mine. As we're approached, we turn a new weapon on them and fire. The Romulus and Ramus didn't build Rome by fighting in Greece. They ran. The Isrealites weren't saved by fighting Egypt. They ran. Abraham didn't survive by staying. He ran.

Edited by TrolleyProblem: 5/16/2016 6:09:39 AMSo France shouldn't have revolutionized? Neither should've William wallace? the colonies? Etc. Do you know how WWll was won? The Allies didn't hide or flee, stay nonpartisan to win. (Hell, a few of them tried, and got bombed for it). We got enough power to attack the axis on an even playing field, and we won David was put against a literal Goliath. Out matched wouldn't you say. But who was triumphant? Speaking of Rome. Ol' Caesar was captured by Cicilain pirates. Did he flee after being released. No. He captured/killed them and took back his ransom he had to pay. He showed he had more power. Speaking of which... Brutus had them retreat when Augustus' army (Caesar's son) came for them. And they were slaughtered. Had they listened to Cassius and went head on, they might have won. At the battle puebla, a Mexican army was outmatched, outnumbered, by a French army. And they still prevailed. The examples go on and on. Sometimes you must fight. And if you flee. You only seal your fate of failure

Edited by The Arxfiend: 5/16/2016 6:08:21 AMBut all those are products of fleeing. If the fish had not fled to land? If even Adam and Eve had not fled the Garden of Eden. It is an Adam and Eve situation. We will never win this war by staying. Guardians are dwindling. What are the civilians to do when none stand?

So the fact that you've killed a timelord in a space he controls completely A Demi God An actual God A roid-raged eliksni And etc mean nothing to you? The fact remains. We are dead things made by a dead power in the shape of the dead. All we shall ever do is kill. If we flee, we undermine the one thing we were brought back for. And frankly, as a stated earlier. We have a machine which allows us to see in the infinite plethoras of the differing universes and each of their out comes. If we use it, we can what we have to do, when, and etc. And if we continue to destroy we shall become too ruthless to be destroyed by any who wish to do otherwise.

The goal of dead orbit is to flee. But not to abandon. We came from the sea. Our ancestors were hunted by arachnids. Our ancestors fled. But are we not capable of stepping on those arachnids now?

Edited by TrolleyProblem: 5/16/2016 11:25:24 AMYes we are. In fact, if you all would look at how we've almost gotten rid of all cabal in this system, crota's and oryx's brood, the taken, almost all fallen houses leader ship, all attempts to rekindle vex axis minds, you'd see we ARE capable We just need to keep growing stronger.
-
We are capable now. Because we haven't had to deal with new enemies. But there will be a time in which the darkness itself will come. And we can not fight the god on the level of Elohim.
-
If we sharpen yourself, we will be. That's how we killed sepiks, phogoth, sekrion, askor, valus tuarc, the flayers, the black heart, atheon, crota, omnigul, the undying mind, skolas, taniks, the brothers, theyosian, alak-hul, oryx, malok, and so many more With of their deaths by our hands, we grow more powerful. We grow more ruthless. And thus we are capable of defeating the next. If we run from them however, they shall scavenge and decimate all we leave behind. And they shall grow stronger by chasing. As they will till the ends of the universe. Meanwhile we'll be just as strong as we were when we began running.

Knives don't cut through titanium. But we aren't just running. We're learning, mining, training. Building new weapons. All as we go. Fighting only keeps us with our same equipment. But running gives us enough time to turn to us into a plasma cutter
-
With the stranger, praedyth, ahamkara, toland and others on our side, we shall evolve. We shall destroy all The veil teaches us. And we act on these teachings. And we destroy enemies. Giving us more understanding. Then we go back to the veil Just look to my NTTE. It is truth enough.
-
But we don't have the equipment to last.
-
Then we make more. We become stronger. We make deals. We use NTTE, weapons of sorrow. We augment our light. Whatever it takes to win this war. Whatever we need to do to win.
-
Well, we won't win by staying. The sheer materials escalation is something we can't meet forever by staying.

These may be empty examples, but FWC shaders reference cities from before common era where great campaigns were held; episodes of war that defined the evolution of both sides, or proved that one campaign wasn't meant to prevail when engaged with a campaign where victory was their lesson.
