I have a theory about this games RNG. Now I could be wrong and most likely am but I think the RNG may have specific pools that are randomly assigned to a players specific character upon creation this thought came to mind after I made my Titan a few days ago. up until that point I only had a warlock and a hunter and about 80 percent of the time and this was both before and after the April update those characters would receive class items and armor from reward packages and engrams (except exotics) and I'm an auto rifle fanatic so I mainly grind for auto rifles but those characters only ever got one or two a week if I was luck now my Titan on the other hand gets auto rifles like crazy specifically an answering chord (which was the main one I was grinding for) my warlock and hunter got one maybe once or twice a week whereas my Titan got 7 in a row the other day from blue engrams and I've received many more both before and after so to me it just feels like my Titan has the better loot pool because the other two still get the butt end of the rewards while my Titan gets everything lol.

Could be true. On the other hand I believe it is all random to a certain degree. I notice that the closer I get to completing things, the harder it gets to actually get decent stuff. - Need that last cryptarch shader? Better let you level up 10 times before that. - 300 faction ranks? Better not give you those year 2 ships. - Need a spektar item? Let's give you gloves 4 times in a row. I truly believe a part of the system keeps you grinding artificially. It's frustrating but in the end my own choice to continue doing it.

This is a pretty good observation. I'm thinking that it may have something to do with how Destiny "intended" for each class to be utilized. Like the blacksmith quest that gives class specific weapons. Hunters get sniper rifles and hand cannons, warlocks get fusion rifles and scout rifles, titans get shotguns and auto rifles. Could be that the RNG favors specific classes...
