GUYS THIS IS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE GAME WORLD NOT THE PLAYERBASE
Think of it, a dying creature summons an army yet they have no training. They are gradually sent across the solar system on some minor missions. Training is available, but optional. Training is the crucible. We who sweat crucible are the best of the best, the guardians so well trained that we can eliminate most others within a few seconds. The top #500 players on any playlist could likely take on 80% of guardians and win. Now tell me why would the vanguard out of the 12 million guardians send 6 who may have never trained? And then those who are like my guardian in the top 1% of a game mode (#408 salvage) surely must be more suitable. Wouldn't having the top 6 players for Oryx be better than 6 guys who slapped up some captains on Earth one time?
Notice how this is purely related to the game universe and not to the actual players. Same way how in the universe Bungie doesn't exist as overlords.
Edit: Yeah that exposing? Doesn't count for shit tbh. The only actual claim I made about stats is true (http://destinytracker.com/destiny/playlists/xbox/Pitty%20Viper/lockdown) and hence it is not an exposure at all. And to reply, aye, that is my KD, but look at my monthly KDs and the last time my overall went up and you'll notice since year 1 it's gone up by .29 and is still on the rise.

Kinderguardians these days... I'd take 5 pve players over 5 PvP sweaty players any day.

For the first time in months that I haven't been on these forums I come to read this... I literally leaked wet earwax from my eyes. Thats how much sense this post made in a comparison. Please explain in a better English sentence of what you're trying to justify.

6 RepliesEdited by TrolleyProblem: 5/15/2016 4:06:07 AMPreparation only goes so far. In the face of the conflux, of Gods, of blood thirsty scavengers, of an Armada of planet destroyers, of our- i mean their maw, of darkness itself; "training" will only take you so far. Sai mota Vel tarlowe Omar agah Eriana-3 Eris morn Wei ning Toland the shattered All guardians who posed their very quidity against that of the hive. Sai, vel, Omar, eriana, eris, wei... They all trained. They all prepared themselves for the attack. All fell but one Then there was Toland. Whilst he physically didn't make it; he got exactly as he wished. Ever heard of thalor? A defender Titan. He was known as the unbreakable. Do you know what happened to him? He was killed by dredgen yor. Someone who was not just a crucible champion. So tell me: how far will your training go against stronger combatants? Toland, Osiris, albios, Ulan-tan, praedyth, pujari, Lyssa, eriana, skorri, Timur, felwinter Jaren, shin, dredgen, pahanin, the six coyotes, Saint-14, kabr, radeghast, saladin. All legendary guardians that did not break, or tremble in the face of true enemies. And they had no "practice" to assist them. Boast of your little skirmishes elsewhere. Shaxx babies you to make sure you don't sprain an ankle. Saladin isn't much better. And Osiris' disciples just want to monitor how you deal with your fellow man. But true power. True understanding is gained from decimating our real enemies in the moment of make or break. Out there you either survive and return with your comrades intact and your trophies of war. With knowledge and more power. Or you don't come back at all. I know many titans, and hunters who are stellar in the crucible. None could have trampled NYX. None could kill crota. Whilst I did alone. All would perish in the maw of ragnarok. And if those restraints weren't in order in the crucible; I would show you true power. I would flense you apart molecule by squirming molecule. It is within my power
oh reader mine.
15 RepliesEdited by Cloudscraper: 5/15/2016 7:52:13 AMThe Crucible is boot camp for guardians. You are there to learn combat basics, strategy and teamwork. You can't 360 no-scope a Vex time master or slide-shotgun a hive god. Your 25 kill streak means nothing in the face of an innumerable horde of monsters bent on wearing your face as a trophy. You enjoy that t-bag you're dishing out to that fallen dreg. You've missed the Captain behind you about to ram its 4 swords through your neck. Your precious 3.0 k/d and 2600 ELO will be cold comfort when your last living moments will be watching a hive wizard devour your ghost's light just before the knight removes your head. As your severed head attempts to breathe, you will remember you also failed to warn the city of the incoming cabal emperor and his massive fleet who "blow up planets just for getting in their way." You might have had a chance to at least get a warning out if you weren't the last remaining member of your fireteam. You were too busy padding your k/d with thrall kills while a cabal colossus was air dropped on top of your other 2 teammates. Did you even notice when they were blown apart by rockets and shredded by its HMG? If you did, you must have forgotten that in the real battlefield, ghosts are not off limits to the minions of darkness. How could you ignore the screams of their ghosts as they were taken as war souvenirs by the colossus? Your crucible stories may impress the new recruits, but they won't bring back the dead and will be entirely forgotten when the darkness invades the last city. This war could have turned out completely different if our best tools hadn't been "nerfed" to make boot camp "more fun."
I think I had too much fun writing this.
I love sweaty matches. It teaches me so many new tactics and even shows my own errors. Being better at crucible means more fun

4 RepliesOh good....2 vipers that post dumb shit....

I'd be better at pvp if I actually cared, red bar gods really put me off playing destinys pvp.

Seen some excellent crucible players who are shit in pve so does that make everything you said invalid?
-
What's the difference between getting a degree through university and a degree skilled position through work? One guy has training, the other guy has experience. Which one matters the most? In the end, experience matters more than academia. This is why warlocks don't execute their plans, they get titans to do it (in lore)

13 RepliesIt's all about that number 1 spot in rift I'm after it but it's proving difficult being a mostly solo player lol I don't have a team of five nova matadors to win every game for me

4 RepliesThis is a closet bragging post. I'm reading this and translating it to, "Look at me, I'm rank 400 in a game mode nobody plays! I'm so good because I played a few sweats against T5 players and won!"

Bragging is bad.
like me in the top 1% of a game mode (#408 salvage) surely must be more suitable.
Salvage? Really? Out of all the playlists, you choose the one that has a scoring system nearly as broken as rumble? Even the "sweaty" community (the people who scrim against each other, not the stat whores who brag about kd.) realise that salvage's scoring system is terrible. And we're talking about the people who use firebolts, thorn, and shadstep spam and call it competitive. They don't really aim for complete balance, yet they understand salvage's scoring system is terrible. Alright, enough about ripping on you with salvage... Oh wait, I'm not done. You don't even have a 50 in salvage lmfao I have a 29 and I only played the 100 matches required for the grimoire, plus when it's the daily. #408 for salvage and you think you're apart of the top 1%? I'm pretty sure if you matched the top 100 (the true top 1%, not some number from Destiny tracker lol) you'd get destroyed. But we're talking about salvage, so they're probably equally as bad.

3 RepliesEdited by joeeeeeeeeee357: 5/15/2016 8:43:04 AMNah the best of the best are the pve gods of destiny, people like the legend himself and Esoterickk who push pve content to the extreme. When they send 6 of the best crucible players to kill Oryx just know they only needed one of those people.

1 ReplyAll I see is a bunch of rambling from a kid. He cannot be over 17 right? Saying a bunch of stuff that basically means nothing. Plz "get gud"
muted
