I need your help. I've decided to not be a p-ssy and play the game on Insanity with my Infiltrator. Problem is, I have to choose a bonus power, and since Bioware was kind enough to not put descriptions for each one, I don't know what the hell to pick.
Here are my options:
Armor-Piercing Ammo
Barrier
Slam
Fortification
Geth Shield Boost
Dominate
Energy Drain
Reave
Neural Shock
Shredder Ammo
Warp Ammo
Inferno Grenade
So, what should I pick?

Geth Shield Boost is by far my preferred ability.
-
Inviz, and Armor Piercing ammo And, I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR DISINGENUOUS ASSERSIONS!!!
-
Grunt as meatshield + Legion's Sniper=Perfect Combo.
-
I used an Adept- but I found warp ammo invaluable on my Insanity run. Also- I HIGHLY recommend you get Grunt right away and use him 100% of the time-even at endgame. He is a huge meatshield and I promise that you'll need one. You die real quick on Insanity.

Geth Shield Boost. Very very useful.

I'd say Warp Ammo.

Makes it easier to kill husks on insane.
It is better to just take along teammates to deal with husks. It's a waste to take a power an infiltrator cannot fully exploit. In general, any one-and-done power is a bad idea since it just restricts your use of other powers due to the universal cooldown system. Adding more powers just takes away from your ability to use the ones you already have. AP ammo and geth shields do not cause this log jam issue.
I could leave it to my teammates, but that would require me to give up having Tali and Garrus in my group. I refuse to break up the band. =)
That's a valid objection...I always just took Grunt along. Husks just melt when you do that.

Geth Shield Boost hands down. It has saved me time and time again.
Posted by: nsundvall if your on insanity i would do something involving your shields or health but if you want a offensive power i would use slam, so far im using it on hardened and you can hurt and for a short time stun enemys while there down but they really should have put a description.
Taking geth shields is also a great idea if you are impatient and will be getting hit a lot.

I like armor piercing ammo. It's dumb to take a biotic power since the infiltrator doesn't get any bonuses there. Armor piercing ammo lets you take down krogan, Harbinger Collectors, general "boss" characters, higher class geth, etc. much more effectively.
-
Bonus Power is not super important for Infiltrator, IMO. Make sure you get the Assassin Cloak and the "Assassin" option for Agent, though. Disruptor ammo is key as well. Basically, for Infiltrators on Insanity, focus on upgrading the Tactical Cloak and Sniper specialization. Cloak and headshot. Rinse and repeat.

I'd go with Barrier or Shield Boost, just to keep you alive better.
