3 Raids are better than 1... Why haven't they brought back Vault of Glass and Crotas end Raids?
Hey I'm a day 1 Destiny player and finally thought the game was "complete" with their recently balanced light level gear drops across multiple activities. Its great to know that you can get the gear you want at the light level you want from different areas of the game.
This is what I still don't understand...
Why haven't we seen them bring back the older Raids?
I really do hope the Devs read this because I've mentioned this to countless players and they all agree with me. I can only imagine the time and work that was put into each Raid (VOG, Crota's End) Now they just sit there hopeless with low light level gear drops which no matter how great and fun they were nobody is going play them because of their drops! Those who started playing Destiny from the Taken Kings release probably have absolutely no idea what those raids were like. Not to mention how great those weapons and gear sets were. Since the game now has a more balanced progression system (infusion now is awesome) with higher light level drops from the Taken King Raid to Trials, Why not bring the other raids back?
This will at least in my eyes and all the other players I've spoken to complete the game. People would actually be taking on Atheon each week hoping for the Vex Mythoclast.
I don't go on the forums much to post so if there are post about this I do apologize but I just wanted to take the time to make this known if nobody has done so already.
Bring them back! VOG! CROTAS END!
P.S. Adding modifiers would be a cool addition to all of the Raids imo

I think I have every bit of kings fall etched into my brain for eternity and to me it's just not fun anymore. The patrols are stale and the strikes are a snooze now too. All my destiny buddies have started playing other games because quite frankly I've been exploring these same zones and raids for two years. It's tired and old and I think will probably stop playing altogether as well until destiny 2 hits.

The most popular weapons, sans Exotics, were brought to Year 2 (Fatebringer/Imago Loop, Oversoul Edict/Grasp of Malok, Vision of Confluence/Treads Upon Stars, Black Hammer/Black Spindle). The armors didn't really offer too much, even within the Raid. Nothing that experience wouldn't make up for. And while the perks for extra damage against Oracles and Minotaurs might not be there (though you can get bonus Minotaur damage as a second tier perk for some Primaries), the amount of overleveled we are, despite damage cap, more than makes up for it. Elemental Primaries basically made Special and Heavy weapons irrelevant for all but bosses. And if anything had a burn, it trivialized the s**t out of it, because you could just waltz through the whole affair with very little concern for running out of ammo. From a design standpoint, that's not good. And that's how things become broken. "Then just remove the burns from rotation." That doesn't address the former issue. There'd be no reason to switch to a Special or Heavy to take out a shield when you can just pop a few shots with your Primary and be done with it. -2¢

Bump I hate when people say I have never done vog they missed all your hard work and master peice of a raid just cuase they can't be brotherd to do cuase it's not worth doing in year 2.

They have to make a challenge mode where you earn the newer legendarys and exotics and not the raid gear and make it like a heroic strike/ nightfall...... your welcome :)

Make the hard modes have Void burn for VoG and Arc Burn for CE, it would make it way more difficult and probably fun

If Bungie can put so much work into Kings Fall then they can put as much into anything. As seen with the Prison of Elders as well as armor and weapon re-skins as seen with gear and guns throughout the game. Yes we have Imago Loop. Whatever of Malak and whatever else. But doesn't compare to the originals. Using old vanilla gear in the crucible may make people giggle at your light level but will remember why the Vault of Glass and Crota's End gear and weapons made people envious of you. I miss wearing my Warlock VoG gear. When I was able I played the living hell out of House of Wolves PoE to ascend any gear I could. To keep that unique look I was promised. I know most MMOs make shit useless after a while but I thought Destiny wasn't an MMO...

I am guessing that one reason would be that the loot tables would have to be adjusted on each of the raids. Bungie mentioned that those weapons, for one being elemental primaries were removed from TTK. Changing the level of enemies probably would not be hard at all to do. But adjusting the loot tables, and to what they would be probably requires a lot more additional coding. Would it be KF weapons, or perhaps placing some of the strike specific gear in, Imago Loop, Treads and others. Full auto Treads would be nice or a Firefly/Outlaw Imago Loop. I would love to play VoG again, I miss it, it was a fun challenge.

I've heard this was due to the fact that Destiny servers couldn't handle the load of a large number of people doing all 3 raids simultaneously. Therefore, they brought back POE instead. I also think this has a lot to do with Luke Smith's stance on elemental primaries and the legacy raid weaponry being far superior to Y2 weaponry in terms of perks/stats.

Yes !!! I been saying this since the taken king...why give us new dlc and take away over half the game ! If it's not broke, don't fix it...the night fall was a priority year 1 and now it's a joke

Yes they made remakes of those weapons, and with the exception of the spindle they are crap in comparison. Maybe not so much if they dropped with the same perks, but they don't. Bring back Vog and crota, but leave the weapons as they are, but at the new light level. From what I've seen since day one bungie, I think it best if you leave all the weapons alone as a general rule. You guys don't understand the concept of weapon balancing!!!!!!!
