Captain America: Civil War Discussion Thread SPOILERS!!

First of all, I'd love to do a non-spoiler thread but: 1) I think most people have already seen it and 2) there'll be that asshole who spoils it for people in the comments. So yeah, this is a spoiler thread, and in case somebody didn't read that SPOILERS BELOW Alright, I've seen the movie twice already and I might see it a third time this weekend because it's just that good. Some people say that they're getting tired of all these superhero movies but I swear to god this is an amazing movie. So let me go through the cast, and let me just tell you that the day when Robert Downey Jr or Chris Evans decide to stop playing Iron Man and Cap, it'll be a sad day and a hard day for Marvel because these people were BORN to play these characters, just like that, overall, I loved the cast including Black Panther and Spider-Man but Downey Jr and Evans just amaze me. Now on the actual story, it was everything I hoped for it to be, there's an actual story that is easy to follow and that you don't need any Civil War comic knowledge to understand so that every type of movie-goer can follow the plot. Now granted, to enhance the experience you need to have watched all of the MCU movies, especially Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron because this is the follow up. But in general, I loved the problem and I absolutely loved the plot twist that Bucky is the one who killed Tony's parents, at that point you just don't know if you're Team Cap or Team Iron Man, it splits you like it splits these characters. Also, Zemo's plan was absolutely perfect and it was kinda new to superhero movies which I loved and definitely excited to see more from him Going to the action scenes, they are so good. From the moment that the movie starts with the Crossbones part to the end with the Iron Man vs Cap and Bucky. The camera is handled perfectly, the choreography of their movement is perfect, it's just amazing. I will say that the airport scene is orgasmic when they all line up and start moving at each other, that scene and the final fight are probably my favorite scenes. Lastly, I wanted to talk about Black Panther and Spider-Man. The actors did a great job playing these new characters to the MCU (especially Tom Holland/Spider-Man, he had it tough). I feel like Black Panther is the character who steals the show in this movie honestly. It could've gone to Spider-Man but he wasn't on camera enough as Black Panther was which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Their introduction was great, their motives were great (I didn't think that Black Panther would be in it for revenge at any time during the trailers), their action scenes are perfect, and overall, I'm pretty excited for their standalone movies. I have to say that this movie is now my #1 spot for the MCU rankings, just above Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy Tl;dr Movie is amazing. Cast is perfect, both new and old actors. Black Panther steals the movie imo. Action scenes are great, especially airport scene and final fight. Bucky killing Tony's parents makes your allegiance to any team to be ruptured and walk out of the movie still thinking who the hell was right at that moment So what did you all think? Any likes/ dislike? Opinion on Spidey and Black Panther?

 • -10 year old SpiderMan -SpiderMan and Ant-Man add nothing to the movie other than fan service -bare bones character development -weak characters -winter soldier for some stupid reason is the main focus for the mcu still -Zeemo was wasted but there's hope, maybe -Crossbones..who killed Cap in the comics. Dies immediately into the movie -Did I mention SpiderBoy sounds 10? -Very weak take on Civil War -Ultron is still left alone even though he's arguably the best villain for the avengers -Pulled another "Martha!" It's so stupid how Marvel gets a pass for skewering movies with just nonsense action and barely some story and then gets great reviews for it. Also the movie gave more reason to favor the Sokovia Accords rather then make them seem bad. Everything is Cap's fault in this movie
