Take two hot dogs, cut them in half, put them between two slices of bread with ketchup and mustard, you have a hot dog sandwich. By the way, I have a very good friend who used to work in a slaughterhouse. Eyeballs, lips, and as*holes. Enjoy your hot dog sandwich.

People simply name it that way because of it's visual connotation to [b][REDACTED: I shan't say such things for I am Koldraxon][/b]. Burgers are just rounded-off sandwiches with a burger in it or something.
