How to get higher light level
I am stuck at 300-305. I seem to have reached my peak on heroic strikes, only getting 270-280 stuff. So, I have a nightfall strike a shot and only got 280-290 stuff.
I'm trying to avoid raids because 1) I am deathly afraid of making a fool of myself while I have a mic 2) My light level isn't that high 3) It must be very frustratingly hard to complete a raid. Although, they do look fun to play as long as you have the capability to make friends.
So, how can I increase my light level, preferably without doing raids

2 RepliesPoE + 3 of Coins is pretty good to get stuff at higher light. Don't be afraid to try raiding though. You're light level is fine and it's not that hard to complete as long as you find a good team. I highly recommend contacting a Sherpa for your first run. I was nervous about raiding too but a great first run with a Sherpa gave me the confidence I needed to do more.

2 Replies3oc. I haven't ever done the raid itself. Stepped in a few times and got annoyed but never completed a section to get drops, Level factions will help too. And my characters are almost all maxed

1 ReplyPS3 add me. I'll run you through PoE 41 and 42. 41 drops blues up to 320 from the chest. 42 orbit drops exotics, shells, and class items up to 5 over your light. CoE,3oC and IB got me from 312 on one to 330 on all three. No need to rush though.

Pretty much everything everyone has said is right on.If you don't want to do the raid, then my suggestion to you would be to do the Challenge Of The Elders.You have to get a sigil every reset from Variks(it's pretty much a score card) and if you get 30k points in a single run,you get a guaranteed random weapon up to 335 and if you get 90k cumulative points, you get a guaranteed random piece of armor up to 335. 3 of coins is another great option and leveling up your faction, which might give you a random piece of gear or a random weapon up to 330.

Iron Banner. It's the last weekend of each month. Also do bounties for vanguard/crucible/faction rank up packages. These always drop items a few points above your current light level.

THREE OF COINS. Failing that, just play the game. Lots of events off gear at possibly higher lvls. Infuse all gear into one main character 1st, then use their drops to bring up your 2nd and 3rd characters. Raid. Why be nervous? There are people out there who do sherpa runs to take "noobs" through. You may even make new friends and build a regular raid team while you're at it.

Lvl41 prison if elders, iron banner, challenge of elders, exotic engrams, faction rank up packages. Very simple

Forget Strikes as they are a slow process as good level gear drops are still rare. Faction packages rewards can go upto 320 so put on your best gear & try cashing in motes of light if have lots of them. I also found Exotics are the key, you need to farm them put on your most powerful equipment then see the crypt-arch as they can go upto 335 light even at your level. I have been doing this since the update & have been progressively getting better level legendary & exotics every time either infusing them into my current gear or keeping them & am now at 333 & just need a few more bit's to get my overall light level to 335. Only thing it won't hep you with is a Ghost & for that you need to use something like Iron Banner & hope for a lucky reward & the Artifacts where you need to hope for lucky drop in the Court of Oryx.

316 on all 3 been before update. 333 on all 3 now and haven't stepped into a raid since the update.
