Not sure if this has been asked before. Just popped into my head mid trials :P
So what do you think about Grimoire? Does it equal skill? Is it a stupid waste of time? Let me hear those opinions!

1 ReplyI think you need 2000+ to make a valid point because it means you played the story and spent some time on the game.
-
3 RepliesI've got 5015 can't get the last 5 grimore as bungie have decided to stop putting doubles in PvP playlist
-
Near max means it's a decent player.
-
all 3 guardians day 1 - pretty rare I will go the least bit out of my way to pick up a ghost, just don't care Also not playing some of the pvp lists...
-
grim score is about time investment not overall skill. I have pretty close to max grimoire and while I am great at pve, I am not a guru at pvp. Ive very inconsistent.. grim just shows your commitment to the entire game and your investment of time.

My old account got banned and I had to start over it got banned at Christmas and then I had 4300+ rip
-
I've always thought of it as a fun little side show thing. Ghost hunting has always been one of my favorite parts of this game.
-
Its just a grind mechanism in case you get bored. Sometimes its a fun diversion, but mostly its pointless since they took it off the players banners. 100 rumble wins and 2500 sidearm kills are not fun

4 RepliesJust stop kid. You suck. Hehe

Whats that?
I believe it shows how dedicated to the game you are, and the overall sense you took your time to complete said things within the game. In a sense, yes it shows experience.
1 ReplyGet a higher one, then we'll talk.

Rough guide to overall game experience.

Grimoire is just a number, it does show how long you've played though that does not equal skill. You'd need to check their individual stats to get a decent indication of skill. However the only true way to test skill is to see how they perform on your team.
-
Shows experience. Good indicator of if someone knows what they are doing or not.
-
Don't care what your grimiore score is, mines only 4105 and it's pretty much all from pvp and my very little time doing strikes in y1. Don't care to grind out raid completions and collecting all the ghosts.
-
Doesn't equal skill, but it's a better gauge than light level currently since max level can be reached via patrols.
-
Does not equal skill, it equals knowledge and familiarity with the game. It also shows devotion. I don't get intimidated in trials or anything by a large grimoire score, but I also have a high one so idk.
-
Doesn't mean shite
-
It equals experience
-
High grimoire in my opinion does not equal skill, it only shows that someone has experience in the game, and obtaining it is a waste of time.
-
I think they are numbers
-
It does not equal skill it just just shows how much time someones sank into destiny. If a level 3 is running around with 1000+ then its not his first character but if they have around 100-500 that means they are brand new to destiny
-
1 ReplyIf it's low it means low skill if it's high it means high skill but if it's somewhere between them, this won't mean a thing
-
1 ReplyGrimore is an indicator of (usually) experience and how much of a completionist you are.
-
It's the same as % completed. Nothing more, nothing less
