Why do people take destiny the game so seriously like it's some kind of serious mmo?
It's just a casual arcade shooter with rng to artificially extend game time.

3 RepliesIt's gotten worse with every passing month. I've been here since launch and just using all the endgame stuff as an example, the community has gotten crazy from VOG until KF. I went into VOG a few months after it dropped so I was way behind. But the 60 different teams I played with were great. KF? No, it's been real bad. I didn't even bother with hard mode. The community sucks.

The amount of aim assist and bullet magnetism on primary weapons is just silly. I also have never understood the mmo comparisons. Sure there are a few aspects of it that fit there but I wouldn't call anything about destiny really massive. The entire world isn't even as big as 4 WoW zones

8 RepliesHappy fishing, but moreover why do people take so many things seriously? These forums for instance, sports, literature, music, jewelry, cars, bird watching? An easy answere is that as society relieves the pressures of simple survival we all have more time to try to find meaning in our lives beyond the continuity of our species. Is any one frivolous pursuit more or less significant than another? Who's to say. As we become more deeply involved in a society that places importance on the financial cost and reward any pursuit assumes as we shift our understanding of what it takes to survive from skills to an ability to work within a system.

You delete characters that you've put 100's of hours into just so you can post without tolerating the stat patrol. You're like an ex girlfriend who accidentally sees the ex boyfriend with a younger, hotter chic. A bit stalkish yet knows she has been defeated. But the truth is, you post here daily not really believing anything you write, most people see that and probably think it's a bit pathetic and sad, which it is. I hope you find a job or a real friend one day, then maybe you will stop taking destiny so seriously. Until then, this will be my second and only response to you're cries for attention, I recommend others do the same.

I don't know why other people come back, but I feel like I come back for the gameplay. I haven't found anything that feels as smooth. Rewards aside, the gunplay, the movement, the weapons themselves...all of this just feels good. The control layout is nice too. The game overall just feels amazing, more so than any other console FPS I've played so far.
