Abuse it in what sense? Obviously there can't be bounty progress from custom games and if there's map exploits that are found, Bungie will sure as shit fix them.

If you can not progress bounties or quests and just want to fight your friends that is okay with me.

I agree 100% it shouldn't benefit character progression at all. The only major benefit would be to face better guardians and improve at PVP or to have a good time with friends. Clan battles too.
