From what I've read on this joke of a forum the preferred way to die in pvp boils down to: "Remove specials and heavies.....then kill me with a primary weapon ONLY........ [u]as long as it's not[/u] MIDA, Universal Remote, No Land Beyond, The Last Word, Doctrine of Passing, Thorn,......and of the remaining weapons not on this list, they may never be used in conjunction with any grenade and/or invisible/cloak/blink type effect whatsoever." It's sad, really. Admittedly, in y1, I did abuse shotguns a bit, but that was due to Matadors. By the end of house of wolves I'd learned how to counter Matador and have since moved to a balance of primary and special. Which includes runs with UR/sniper, NLB/shotgun.

I don't believe there's such a thing as abuse. You have to have an answer for close, mid-range and long range encounters. Sometimes you take the game to the opposition and sometimes they take it to you. That's the beauty of pvp....it's non-scripted, non-mechanized fun. Make no apologies.

Yep. These days, except for bounty filling reasons, my rotation in primary is pretty much exclusively a total of 6 weapons - one of three AR's, Ace of Spades, one of two scout rifles. My rotation in special is almost exclusively Party Crasher, Invective, Chaperone. My rotation in heavy is almost exclusively Baron's Ambition and Tamarind. I'll mix in others across the spectrum every now and then for fun, experimentation, or old-times sake. But hey.......if anyone's preference is to NOT DIE by any of the above ^ means then that's just tough luck.

AR: my choices sit at Zarinaea-D, Arminius, Red Spectre, Haakon's Hatchet, Does Not Bow Pulse: Herja, Lyudmila, PDX45, Nirwen's Mercy Scout: Cocytus, Colovance's Duty And very rarely Hand cannon: Judith, Gaheris, Eyasluna

And I'm sure folks will eventually find something to complain about in that mix. Sheesh. MIDA and Ace of Spades are current 1st choices in primary, depending on the map. My scout substitute is Hung Jury, my HC substitute is Eyasluna. I love Colovance's Duty, Boolean Gemini, Inward Lamp, and also Jade Rabbit, but for me I just can't get them to crack the MIDA/Hung Jury rotation very often. I have & sometimes use other weapons including a collection of pulse's - Oversoul Edict, Grasp of Malok, Lyudmila, PDX. AR for me: Hakkon's (upgraded to the version for sale last IB which is great), Answering Chord (bomb roll a pleasure to shoot & lethal), every now and then Hard Light because of the no damage fall off & old times sake. Rarely go anywhere without a shotgun. If I equip an exotic in the primary slot, it's Party Crasher here. If it's a legendary in the primary slot, it's Chaperone or Invective here, most all of the time. However, I've recently had fun with newly acquired Zen Meteor (over favs Patience and Time, Stillpiercer, Longbow). I'm starting to experiment with Split Shifter Pro (with accelerated coils) and Queenbreaker's Bow.

Yeah, Shotgun is still my fave with either Invective, Strongbow (full auto/final round) or Chaperone. Was using Lord of Wolves before dismantling due to y2 version coming out... Then found out I couldn't kiosk it. Sniper is really only when needed and it's the Aoife Rua and Tamar, Weyloran's. Fusion, a triplet of Army of One Thesans (each element) Lastly, sidearms, Ironwreath from first TTK IB or Conviction II until I get Queen's choice and the Judgment one. I go for preparedness XD

Yeah bud. Both Lord of Wolves and Queen's Choice get honorable mentions for me, but that's mostly because of what I'm accustomed to using most often. Queen's Choice, in particular, truly is an awesome sidearm. If this were my preferred mode I'd run it all the time. You'll love it. With LoW, it shreds at point blank range ...... leaves no survivors, but I like the reach the other shotguns we're talking about have. Want list: Two To The Morgue

I had that in year 1, great shotgun. Wonderful sights, solid stopping power, solid RoF, and a good reload speed. It was a solid performer even against a Matador. Planning on grinding Challenge this weekend for my Lord and queenbreaker. If you want a fun challenge, 4th Horseman. Used it with a Bladedancer optimized for speed and pulled my first ever Phantom in the first TTK Banner. It's not easy getting used to the recoil, insane RoF, and miniscule range, but it is fun to pull out on occasion.
