Sbmm and why removing it won't help

I simply don't understand the thought process behind demanding the removal of sbmm. The biggest argument I see is that people don't want sweaty matches. If you think critically even a bit, you will see why this makes no sense. Let's say you get your wish and sbmm is removed. High skill and low skill players are matched with no amount of effort to make it fair. Now you have one team (high skill) having a non sweaty stomp while the other team is having an even sweatier match because they had no shot from the start. Doesn't sound like fun to me. It is better to have even matches that can be tough to pull a victory in than matches that are way too easy sometimes and impossible other times. Tldr removal of sbmm won't relieve sweatiness, think and you will realize why. Edit I am not advocating weighting sbmm over cbmm I just don't want only cbmm. I'd prefer if cbmm was dominant with some sbmm to avoid the above scenarios

  • The problem I have with it is the parody. Every game too evenly matched = boring. Every game sweaty = less fun feels like a job not a game. It's fun to at least occationally go on a big run and get 20+ kills. But in my experience solo lately I'm getting stomped by fireteams anyway so I either have to get even more intense and lfg serious players to team with or just quit.
