Overwatch Beta Just Killed Destiny

I wish but Overwatch takes teamwork and skill Destiny, not so much, besides raids

Of course it did. Overwatch is probably the best competitive shooter in a while because the game actually requires some thought and skillful planning. Wouldn't surprise me if it becomes a top tier Esport at some point. The fact that future DLC and characters will be free just makes the game a solid day one purchase in my book.

There is 0 story, like less than destiny, which is an accomplishment. And the trailers peaked my interest, only to give me no storyline. There is also no progression. That's the big hitter IMO. The best games that keep people coming back have some sort of progression. Destiny has rep to earn, light levels to get, grimoire, guns. All this stuff. COD has prestige, etc. and over watch has....nothing. I had to stop playing the beta as I already pre ordered the game because I didn't want to burn myself out of it before getting the entire game.

1 ReplyIt's been over a year since I played Destiny and when I did play it I barely lasted 2 weeks.... That being said, 2 days of Overwatch and I never want to see it again. It's was fun for a few hours but it got boring for me pretty quickly.

5 RepliesOverwatch, battleborn, and paragon(ps4) are all what we call "filler" games. They are fun in short bursts but if you try to replace a game like destiny with it 90% of people would be bored with it in a month

Please stop the "______ killed destiny" posts. It is absurd to think a game will "kill" a game. You are giving the game that supposedly "killed" destiny a lot of credit which ends up giving people high expectations for the game and when the game doesn't meet their expectations, they end up hating it.

1 ReplyAnyone try it on XB1? I found the graphics to be a bit rough, anyone else notice that.? I tried it on my pc, was having a great time with pharah, even got play of the game, then I got a red screen of death 😭 Havent used my pc in awhile, might need some updates or something 😢

3 RepliesForget Destiny, Overwatch completely destroyed Battleborn. Absolutely no one is talking about Battleborn, and the Overwatch beta completely overshadowed it, even though it's a pretty decent game in its own right.
