When i used sun singer i would use claws of ahamkara and radiant skin with full strength, bitch slap everyone on the opposing team haha.

And there's nothing wrong with that. This game would be boring AF if all 3 classes and all 9 subclasses were equal. It's ok for each class to have something unique and advantageous over the others. To make it different. Titan's OHK shoulder charge (once they restore shoulder charge to it's yr1 glory). Warlock's amazing burn on a fire bolt. Hunter's evasive shadestep. As long as each has one thing to differentiate it from the other classes, it's ok.
-
Shoulder charge has a cooldown.. Grenades and melee are limited cast.. Shadestep.. Has neither. That's not balance that's favoritism.. And they made a helmet with that perk on it justttt to make it clear.
-
Edited by Sanctus Michael: 5/5/2016 7:07:35 PMThere is a cooldown. I can't shadestep continuously. I can do two then it stops, I have to either walk, run, or sprint before being able to shadestep again. Idk why people keep saying there's no cooldown. And a helmet that grants shadestep is no different than arms that grant landfall and something pyre or whatever for the titans hammer of sol. Or helm of inmost light granting that perk that let's you fly down. Please. Armor pieces giving a free perk has been around since year 1. That's not favortism, that's destiny since launch.
-
X2 is still no cooldown. And the cooldown is super short.. Never said they didn't..? I mention the helmet because it's salt in the wound basically.
-
If the cooldown is too short in your opinion to even count as a cooldown, then that's your opinion and nothing will change it. In the end this is a circular argument dependent on pov. Either people will be pro shadestep, con shadestep, or neutral. One isn't more right than the other because it's all about pov, so it ain't even worth getting into this neverending circular argument. I like it. Others don't. I think it's fine. Others don't. Nothing I say will change their mind and nothing they say will change mine, so why even bother with the discussion? It is what it is. Such is life.
-
No don't get me wrong I love shadestep. I'm just jelly I want one on my lock. But it's not pov. There is NO comparable movement perk on Either alt classes or sub classes that compare PERIOD.. The closest is Garrison but even that requires u to be airborne first. So you have no point it's unbalanced and BS. Cool bs that needs to be added to other classes. Titans can get a charge that's half as powerful and half the distance of shoulder. Warlocks could get a blink equivalent to a blink without jumping. Fixed.
-
Edited by Sanctus Michael: 5/5/2016 7:39:10 PMWhat I meant by pov is either a person likes it because it works for them or hates it because it works against them. Likes it because they like hunters or hates it because it isn't on the other classes. That's what I meant by point of view. As I said, it's a circular argument. Nothing I say will change your mind and vice versa, so in the end it ain't even worth getting into it, as I can clearly see at this point. You have your opinion, I have mine, and ain't neither of us gonna change the other. It is what it is. It's bungie's game, they made this, right now they're happy with it. Tomorrow they could change their mind and change everything. Today you and I decide if it's a game we want to play. If bungie changes things we both will reassess if we want to devote time to this game. It's the way of things. Maybe we can give all 3 classes shadestep, self res, fire bolts, shoulder charge, fist of havoc, shadow shot, storm trance, nova bombs, arc blade.... hell... let's make all 3 classes exactly the same. That way the complaints over the class differences and advantages can end and the complaints about how boring the game is because we're all the same can begin.
-
True that, to be honest i don't see why people run viking funeral instead of two firebolts , i have had a lot more luck using that combo. Get them down half health, throw a grenade and duck around a corner. Or they can be used for people trying to escape a lost gun fight.
-
Shoulder charge really isnt the unstoppable force people seem to think it is, you would see it a lot more if it was. You tend to get shot down by Doctrine, TLW or many many shotguns as you run in, it only really works against scoped in snipers. I have been doing very well with it in Inferno though by flanking and they dont know I'm coming as no radar. Whilst I agree that diversity is great invincibility frames have no place in this game at all and SS is a massive advantage as its the only real counter to firebolt nades. Remove both of them and I have no issue with SS.

Like I said I have no issue with the move itself its just I-frames are ridiculous in a game like this, it isnt a circular argument, invincibility is OP whatever you pov, if you disagree with that you are simply wrong.
-
I don't get the invincibility you referenced. I have played 4 matches of clash. Used shadestep many times. Only twice did it get me out of death. I step once, maybe twice, but get killed the moment I materialize. It ain't an auto win. So, my pov, is that it being "OP" is greatly exaggerated. Can some players do really well with it, sure. But those same skilled fps players would also be skilled with a sniper rifle, pulse rifle, sidearm, shot gun, shoulder charge, FoH, and so on. Should everything an exceptional player use be nerfed and is OP simply because they're great players? Of course not. It ain't shadestep that's OP, they're just good players. If shadestep was a Godly, never fail, invincible, OP thing then a shitty player like myself still wouldn't die 80% of the time using it. Shadestep, like anything in this game, is nothing more than a tool. In the end it's the user of that tool that matters
-
Shadestep has frames of invincibilty the moment you activate it meaning that that final shot wont kill you, that grenade wont harm you, that -blam!-ing ROCKET doesnt affect you as you are invincible for a few frames. Blink get similar I-frames and is also BS. How is this at all a good idea??? I whole heartedly agree that SS doesnt turn a noob into a beast but it turns the beast into a god. Combine that with the SS cancel glitch and the perk is just broken, get rid of the I-Frames and the fact that bolt grenades lose their tracking and I have no issue.
-
Edited by Sanctus Michael: 5/6/2016 8:55:18 AMThe warlock's void walker has a grande that spawns these tracking balls, SS causes them to lose thier lock? If this is true, thanks for the tip. Last IB I was getting f*cked by that grenade, I even tried shooting that damn ball once. If SS causes it to lose its lock, I'll definitely remember that. As far as the "invincibility" of SS and blink: blink has always been this way and Bungie (no matter player's complaint or opinion) hasn't changed it in over 1.5 years, so I wouldn't hold my breath for any changes to SS or blink. It may suck, but that's life. In the end I guess it comes down to a player learning to adapt and overcome, start playing a night stalker hunter, or stop playing destiny and play Over Watch or somthing. It is what it is. For me, imo, I just accept it all. The ridiculously long burn of the fire bolts, the over shield of the self res (pre-update), the old sunbreaker armor during supers and it's duration, etc. I just roll with it and either accept it or join the crowd and start using what's overly powerful.
-
And you completly prove my point with "the old sunbreaker armor during supers and it's duration". This is the why people b1tch about things, because certain things are OP and nerfs are done in the name of balance, if everything was put back the way it was then you would just see sunbreakers and bladedancers running round absolutely wrecking sh1t. They didnt actually nerf the SB duration, they nerfed the, armour, the healing, the tracking, the blast radius, the speed of the hammers and did ZERO to buff the classes neutral game in anyway on a class built entirely around its super. Why did the do this? Moaning Huntards thats why.
-
Edited by Sanctus Michael: 5/6/2016 9:19:23 AMI don't get why people say "hunters" are complaining when there are no hunters. It's humans... players... complaining. It says everything when a person says a video came class is complaining. I start to question if they're in touch with reality and thus, disregard anything further they have to say. I don't care what bungie does with their game. I either learn to adapt or stop playing. If they nerf something tomorrow, I re-adapt. If they buff something later, I re-adapt. Bitching and crying (again... FOR ME, obviously not for everyone) isn't worth my time. Whatever. It's their game. If I don't like what they change or do I can stop playing. One thing I disagree with bungie is they cater to the players. Don't get me wrong, Dice payed attn and adjusted Battlefield as needed, but there was a separation between them and the players. Some people may think bungie's interaction with players is great, players have an influence on the game. This is a double edged sword... because... players have an influence on the game. Nerfs, buff, changes, all from bitching and moaning. Players have now accepted they can influence the game and feel entitled to do so. Imo... AGAIN... MY OPINION.... Bungie should have just made the game the way they want, adjust things based on their play experience and opinion, and if people don't like it... OverWatch and COD is overthere. Btw, I was cool with the sunbreakers armor and duration. Why? Because I adapt and/or join the crowd. I just started using a sunbreaker titan. Again. Adapt. If something is super strong, rather than cry over it... use it.
-
Yes but all these "humans" have chosen to main a specific class and it was mainly the hunters moaning about the SBs. The Locks were keeping their heads down for fear of a stormtrance nerf so SBs get nerfed and then everyone turned on the Locks and low and behold Stormtrance gets nerfed as well. But no nerfs for SS or the ludicrous dbl smoke grenades they get. At least not yet anyway so I will continue to make my opinion heaard in the hope that Bungo try and address this imbalance.
-
Edited by Sanctus Michael: 5/6/2016 9:58:07 AMOk. Good luck. As I said, whatever they do, I'll adapt or stop playing. Simple as that. As you said, those that liked the warlock class kept their mouth shut because nerfing SB may mean storm trance is next. You're proving your own point. You bitching about SS may mean something you like (fire bolt, shoulder charge, or whatever it is you like) may be next. Maybe you're better off keeping your mouth shut and learn to adapt.
-
"How do you know you've beaten a hunter in an argument" He shadesteps away!
-
Edited by Sanctus Michael: 5/6/2016 10:08:11 AMI'm not a hunter. I'm a human who plays all character classes. Sunbreaker titan (especially when they had a great armor and duration) and storm trance warlock, because the duration of the storm trance is amazingly long. Why limit yourself to one class? Boooooring. And just like you said about players that like storm trance keeping thier heads down about sunbreakers because if that got nerfed then it was possible storm trance was next. You're proving your own point. If you keep bitching about SS, maybe it'll get nerfed but then something you like may be next. Maybe you're better off keeping your mouth shut, but we'll see. You could learn to adapt and accept, but I guess you want the game your way and maybe adaping and over coming challanges isn't in your skill set. Again, that's bungie's fault for allowing the players to have a say in their game. Whatever, that's their choice. Their game.
-
You have twice as much time on your hunter as you do on your other classes, you are a hunter whether you admit it or not much as I am a Titan despite also having a lock and hunter myself. I was completely silent in year one save for saying blink was a bit unfair as the other classes had it but Titans didnt. That was despite the fact that Titans were weeks behind the other two classes for PVP, then the TTK came and Titans got the decent PVP class they deserved only to have it nerfed into the ground by moaning huntards. It was at this point I decided to remain silent no longer and so if to tear down the other classes is the best way to try and attain balance then that is what I shall do. Bungie logic: Titans have no roaming super so give them one and then nerf it into an unusable state. Hunters already have two roaming supers so quick lets give them another one!
-
Edited by Sanctus Michael: 5/6/2016 1:27:29 PMI have twice as much time because I deleted and restarted the other two. F*cking Bungie doesn't allow us to change our appearance unlike Skyrim and Fallout 4. And Skyrim is old as shit AND they didn't have this 10-year game plan while keeping characters for 10 years and Bethesda STILL put in the ability to change your character's appearance. F*ucking bungie and their idiot developers. You have no idea how internally hard it is to delete and start over and lose everything because everytime you look at your character you hate how they look. That's why the other two has no completion for VoG dispite having a full set of VoG armor for all 3 classes. I actually restarted the titan 2 weeks before ttk.
-
You never really see your character anyway as they are covered in armour so I dont really care, I deleted a Titan for a hunter as I had two titans for a while but that was eons ago. You have 276 hours in game deleted which equates to about 12 days, if they were all on your lock (which they wont be but nonetheless) that would take him to a total of 26 days which would still be 12 days less than your Hunter. I know you dont like to admit it but you are a hunter, but its OK, we can get you help, first you need to admit you have a problem and then the healing follows.
-
Lol. That's funny
