Destiny is the big one these days.
-
It's not a particular game, or even a console. It's the entirety of gaming.
-
None. I can quit any game any time I want however the games I play I enjoy. Yes even destiny.

2 RepliesDestiny. Finally been able to quit tho. Feels like freedom.

Call of duty Destiny

1 ReplyIt makes no sense using stockholm syndrome in this context, as no game can take someone hostage unless there's a game out there like SAO.

A video game can't kidnap you
-
Soulsborne series.
-
I can't say i've ever been taken hostage by an inanimate object or pixels. That would just be odd.

So pretty much what games we enjoy losing our time to? If so then R6:S, BF4, and MGS V.

Been playing this ancient roguelike called NetHack for the past 10 years or so. I don't play non-stop or anything, but I have it on my phone so it's basically always with me. I have never once had any success in it. I've made it to the halfway point a grand total of 3 times, and only because I was playing as the easiest roles on those occasions. The RNG is absolutely remorseless, and the game is so well balanced that it's nearly always your own fault when you die. Truly a remarkable game, and I hate it so much that I don't think I'll ever stop playing

I used to get obscenely salty at the artificial difficulty in Mario Kart 8 and 64, but once I finished them I didn't see a need to continue playing to that extent.
