Shouldnt really matter anyway since there is a damage cap. But some year 2 weapons will be more usefull to this then most year 1 weapons yeah. But thats the path of going forward. I agree with you that this is nothing special. I believe the WR was around that time already or even lower. But to be this salty about it as you are right now is taking it a bit to far.

I'm not salty, that would imply some amount of jealousy, which would be more sad than salty but hey. Look whatever, if folk want to praise the achievement then fine, it was a hard thing to do back in the day, just saying to do it again at the proper light level, then claim world records.

But it is a world record despite your opposition. If you want them to run Year 1 weapons, record or stream a Year 1 gear category run and hope people pick it up.

Then how would he get a world record if he can't literally "speed run" Use of twilight garrison and sword allow him to move extremely quick. Impossible to scale to 170 or below. I don't understand why you are being salty

I don't think Y1 only is a valid argument. The nerfs they did to weapons has altered the balance. You wouldn't be able to compare Y1 speedruns done today with those from last year. Did you try to do any raids the week before Taken King came out? This was before the new light levels but after the perk nerfs. Hard mode became extra hard. The nature of these things is to always keep getting faster with whatever tools are at your disposal currently.
