I personally get into gunfights knowing I can shadestep as a type of contingency. It's called using your abilities to your advantage.

I wish all classes had some ability like this.

Titan has garrison, which can make you skate so fast out of nowhere, and warlocks have blink/flame shield which serve the same purpose.
-
I have to disagree there my friend. Titans need an exotic armor to do what huntards have as a perk. And blink twice with a lock and there's a cool down. So it's not the same. Plus how is flame shield compared to shade stepping through an entire map. I'm not hating. Just stating there is no perk ability like shade step for the other classes.

There is a cool down after shadestepping twice. Ever see a hunter teabagging in place? That's why. And most hunters run the graviton with keen scout, so using garrison is essentially the same anyway; as if that was the point anyway. You want the ability? You've got it now stop crying. And flame shield is comparable because it's a crutch people using to win gun fights, as you described. Losing a gun fight? Melee them from like 15 feet away and get a shield, and likely kill them/burn them to death.

Shadestep twice and you run into a cooldown barrier. Shadowstep and blink are surprisingly similar, the tradeoff is that Blink is multidirectional, far-traveling, but the weapon ready time is slow, while with Shadestep it's 4 directions, short distance, and immediate weapon ready time. Blinking is a Voidwalker's contingency plan. Shadestepping, similarly, is a Nightstalker's contingency plan.

I know. I'm saying I wish there was one for all subclasses similar to shade step.
-
If all classes had an Evade, all classes should have Blink, and Shoulder Charge.
-
And wombo combo.
-
I think that's called using a skill as a major crutch, because you aren't good enough to safely get out of gunfights.. lol

How so? I didn't always have shadestep as it came out with TTK. I did just fine before. I am simpling using what I am provided with. I think people are just mad that they get outplayed because of my shadestepping. :)
