Hey, everyone. I got Stolen Pride today and realized I know absolutely nothing about hand cannons and which perks are good. The Warlock that I'm leveling now is going to use them (mostly for character flavor in strikes and such).
So, what are good perks for HCs? Should I keep the one I got or use it to infuse something else? It's currently on my Titan, but it seems like it may be better for PvE than PvP due to triple tap.

Stolen Pride is great for PvE but kinda horrible for PvP. I wanna add in some cases if a HC has a really good base range stat then Hammer Forged CAN be godly - it just depends on the gun. Aim for a range stat of at least 50, otherwise infuse it.

You mean requirements to make them useable?

Range and luck in the chamber work great

Edited by GuardianXbox: 5/4/2016 8:46:02 PMBasically any range boosting perks. My Eyasluna has rifled barrel and rangefinder, which combined is basically the most range a handcannon can have, and it rarely misses. I seriously beat snipers with this thing...

1 ReplyEdited by Sixclicks: 5/4/2016 8:56:59 PMA good roll would be Sureshot IS, Rangefinder, Rifled/Reinforced Barrel (depends on whether you'd rather sacrifice reload or stability), and Hidden Hand. Icarus also suffices in place of Hidden Hand if you want to take advantage of Handcannons' unique ability to stay accurate while airborne. You can get the drop on quite a few players by suddenly jumping over them while still shooting accurately. Most players are pretty bad at getting headshots on airborne targets at close range. My Imago Loop on my Hunter is almost perfect. Unfortunately it rolled Mulligan on its last perk though.

Outlaw for sure, explosive rounds or extended range, and firefly is a god roll

2 RepliesI have a devil you know that I consider to be a perfect roll. Sureshot Outlaw Hammer forged or explosive rounds Hidden Hand I use hammer forged in pvp and explosive rounds for pve. It's been my fav gun so far since the update.

Edited by PROCK7: 5/4/2016 11:40:52 PMA few things to consider: Sights: you want ones with target acquisition. Like True shot or Sure shot help. Range: Hand cannon range was nerfed because people would die at farther ranges though hand cannons are short to mid. So getting anything like rangefinder and hammer forged help. FYI: Some like stability but it's more improbably to have range. Perks: Perks will help define whether a gun is more PVP vs PVE. Varies but for PVE many like firefly and PVP many like outlaw and getting both is a nice roll many want like Fatebringer. It's your preference for the perks but if you have nice sights and range then you may be less picky about perks. I just got an IB hand cannon with Sure Shot IS, hammer forged (buff to range and accuracy) and mulligan (not the worst but not good) that I will keep and try out. It's on my Titan.

3 RepliesOutlaw, Reactive Reload Outlaw, Firefly Outlaw, Icarus Outlaw, Hidden hand XD that's my preferences lol

Range boosting perks and preferably faster reload such as outlaw or feeding frenzy. Depending on stats.

Ok... looks like the one I have is garbage then. :P I'll use it to upgrade my old Hung Jury instead. Thanks everyone.

Increase range slower reload, luck in the chamber and outlaw
-
Luck in the chamber a range perk in the middle then the third perk is mostly preference. A reload perk like outlaw or FF is nice. As is firefly for pve. I also like life support for PvP. The range stat is the most important stat on a hand cannon as changes effective range before fall off and aim assist. Hidden hand is a solid 3rd perk as well

Rifled barrel is good
