Hello everyone, I have been playing Destiny on XB1 since the vanilla launch. I also have a PS4 as well. I am curious to switch over and play Destiny on PS4 instead due to all the exclusive stuff on there. I am wondering if it will be worth the grind all over again? Any one on here make the same switch? Was it worth it? I would appreciate any input. Thanks.
Edit: Thank you for all the replies. FYI I already have both PS4 and XB1 right now. There seemed to be some confusion with that. I decided to continue to play Destiny on XB1. Thank you for all the input.

NOOOOO!!!!!!

I could understand a whole game but just for some armour and two exotics that would be a pricey trade

Nah. The PS exclusives are timed. You'll have your Jade Rabbit and Zen Meteor eventually. Plus, those triggers. Yikes. I own both and can't stand the PS4 triggers. The rest of the controller is great though.

No but if you did this is the time to do it when leveling up is so easy.

1 ReplyNo, Beyond exclusives it's the same experience.

1 ReplyNot worth the restart. From a ps player

I've played on both, but I prefer the ps4. Although, the only thing would be that you will loss your year 1 gear.

Really just depends where your friends are.

Depends on you really, lots of factors. Time- Do you have enough time to get your light up on ps4? Exclusives- Are you the type of person that really wants the ps4 exclusives? Friends- Do you have a lot of regulars on xbox1 that you might miss switching to ps4? Grind- Do you mind the grind, will it frustrate you or would you not mind? Items/Progress- You might have god rolls/exotics that you will miss switching. I'm on ps4 but if I was on xbox1 and wanted to switch to ps4. Exclusives aren't all that and don't have enough time to start all over.

Edited by xSinicle: 5/4/2016 10:12:53 PMIt is. I play a lot better than i do on xbone because of the controller and people overall seem nicer. Its a pain getting all the exotics back though. And its also a plus having two accounts on here so when you give an opinion on the forums, dumbasses who cant utilize the app correctly will see your newest account and think youre a noob or think youre a huntard if you mained one on xbox while you main one or a titan on the ps4.

I've tried both and I prefer ps4 but I've played ps4 way longer

1 ReplyGiven that I can actually read, unlike some here. If you have both consoles and you don't mind starting over then go for it. There's a slight graphical advantage on ps4 and there's probably more players still on destiny too, plus the exclusives as well. I'm an xboner for life but it's your time after all :)

2 RepliesYes Fvck off we won't miss you

2 RepliesXbox fanboy here. Got a PS4 3 weeks ago as the 2 main people I play Destiny with made the switch a month earlier. I personally prefer the PS4 controller, and Destiny seems to run faster between menus, etc. Jade Rabbit is excellent and Sublime Engrams give a bit of extra excitement. The exclusive strike was fun the 1 time I did it. But there is one major reason the switch to PS4 was a good choice.....
..... Xbox players are way better at PVP, seriously, I'm doing way better than I ever did now that I'm on PS4.
2 RepliesI did this a few weeks ago and yes it's a grind I have Jade and meteor and they're not that good tbh. I would also say that the controller is no where near the one I use on xboxone, but I do use an elite. Ps4 controller just seems less responsive, even now I'm used to it.

I know that i wouldnt myself. Its because i have so much time invested in this account and these characters. What you could do is slowly start on ps4. Just take your time with the story. By the time you have all the bases down, then look and decide. You will have played enough to be able to put both consoles side by side and decide on gameplay. Maybe Destiny just doesnt feel right on ps4 for you or maybe it feels better. Just saying that you shouldnt rush it.

I changed over in January from XB1 to PS4. It was hard work to begin with not having anything and the light lvl increases were poor to say the least. It's only recently that I now feel I've caught up. It will be easier now to lvl up than it was for me but I do think there are more players on PS4 to make it worthwhile.

Yeah it really is

judging by your emblem, no if you wanna keep your year 1 weapons you should stay on xbox

Personally I wouldn't go out and buy a PS4 just to start Destiny again. Only difference between the two are the exclusives which we will get eventually. You'd have to start a new friends list if you cared about that
