Let's preface this with a story of my morning:
I was running a little late for work this morning, but I still wanted some caffeine for my morning routine. I decided to stop at Starbucks coffee because it was more convenient than my usual place. I ordered a Venti(Large) iced coffee with vanilla sweetener and room for cream. I picked up my drink and it had very little ice in it and was only a little above room temperature. I poured in the cream and headed to work. By the time the small amount of ice melted, my drink was partially above room temperature. On top of that, it was heavily watered down because all of the ice melted very quickly. I normally don't like Starbucks to begin with, but this was awful.
I then heard from a coworker that hers was the same way. She informed me that someone had recently sued Starbucks for their drink not being an actual "Venti" because the ice took up too much of the space that liquid could replace. Somebody actually sued the company for this...
Individual greed and entitlement is running rampant at the expense of comfort and delight of others. Starbucks' already dwindling quality is once again lowered for someone else's 7 figure pay day. And this happens everywhere. Petty lawsuits for an easy life. And this is the pettiest one yet, built around entitlement.
What does b.net think of this disgusting act of human greed and entitlement?

Edited by LahDsai: 5/6/2016 4:06:23 AMDid they win? If so, I'm suing Lays for selling bags that are 60% air, 30% chips.
The other 10% is salt from the tears of obese children.
-
We're suing over coffee now? Lol
-
What a world we live in...
-
They just want money and attention. -blam!- em.
-
I knew their coffee tasted bad! But horse shit explains a lot! ;)
-
I despise knowing that nearly 1-4% of the richest people in the upper class own more than 60% of the world's wealth. This is the reason why I dislike big businesses because these are individuals who can quite literally censor media. I, however, despise greed regardless of where and who it comes from, especially when it comes from these petty lawsuits that fail to actually provide benefits to the consumers.
-
Someone even sued Redbull for their slogan. Because it didn't gave him wings as advertised. In Germany, there is a law that makes such trials impossible!
-
The amount of stupidity from everything I have seen in the past few years is astonishing. If I had one single penny for every time it happened... I would be billions rich.
-
47 RepliesAs stupid as the lawsuit reason might be, it's a good thing that people are getting money from multi million-billion dollar companies that are worldwide or nationwide. The %1 of people who are actually rich is just stupid. We should all have lots of money to do things for ourselves and other people around us. If suing big corporations gets the lower-middle class people some much needed money then move power to you.
-
4 RepliesI think I took the title too literally
-
tldr I would sue starbucks if they took a massive shit in my cup
-
Oh no! My ICE melted!

Starbucks sucks anyways
-
I personally couldn't care less

7 RepliesHonestly the fact that restaurants and fast food places sell you drinks that are supposed to be about 12oz of liquid for $4 and then you get like 7oz and the rest is ice is bullshit. I rarely get iced drinks at fast food places/restaurants for that reason. People shouldn't have to make a special request just to get the advertised product. Is it the most pressing issue of our times? No, but I'm not upset that somebody is pushing back.

1 ReplyEdited by xi_GoinHam: 5/3/2016 6:15:07 PMHuh, the black coffee I make at home stays nice and hot, without being watered down for about 1/20 of the cost.
-
Guys, I need help. I'm not sure if I should sue for the displacement the ice causes when I order a large, but only get a medium amount of liquid. Or if I should sue when my iced tea gets watered down thirty minutes after I order it. Plz help.
-
How about they cheat you on a drink you just don't buy that drink anymore.
-
Expected actual horse shit contamination or something. Was disappointed.
-
children in Africa could've eaten that coffee cup
-
5 Repliesstarbucks= the WALMART of coffee except they charge you 10,000x what they spend making the coffee so yea they get sued a TON cuz
its a pretty horrible company deep down inside of it
-
If it wasn't for real I'd think this some sketch for Saturday night live.
-
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
It's idiotic. If they don't like it, don't order it.
-
I don't think it's greed, more like pure boredom and trying to be funny. At least, that's the way I see it.
