There have been several occasions where as a BD, or just running around with a shotgun, I'll either stab them or shoot an enemy player, only to have them kill me shortly after, despite me clearly getting a hit marker with my shotgun at near point blank range and getting the melee off.
This is particularly common when I go up against Warlocks (with landfall or Nova Bombs) or the worst culprits, Titans and their Fist of Havoc.
I've lost count how many times I've lost against a Titan smash as a Blade Dancer, despite stabbing them 2-3 times with my own super or even using a shotgun/melee and somehow they either magically don't take any damage or escape with a sliver of HP.
Looking at the connections, nothing seemed to be really out of place, the bars were all green, so I'm not sure if it was really a latency issue. Netcode issue perhaps?

8 RepliesI just want to know why strikers keep their super when they die in animation, but every other subclass (except maybe stormcaller but I could be wrong) loses theirs. That's the most annoying bullshit.
-
5 RepliesWarlocks have exotics and perks which give back health upon super activation and most super get armor bonuses which make it harder for them to die
-
2 RepliesMan I swear it feels like this with night stalkers. Those fukkers jump in the air with that damn bow and survive everything

Self res while in animation

Edited by Bullitt LSx: 5/2/2016 3:31:57 PMThis happened a while back. This guy tanked multiple point blank shotgun blasts and melee attacks and lived. Idk what the hell it was. (My friend was also shooting him with a shotgun at the same time I was) http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Bullitt083HL2/video/17157070

During every super animation there are a few frames of huge damage reduction. Some supers such as Nova Bomb and Fist of Havoc have longer times of damage reduction, but only during activation. Roaming supers also have more damage reduction than usual only during the animation. Even Golden gun has a few frames of armor boost.

1 ReplyIt's a super! Your supposed to loose 90% of the time.

5 RepliesIt takes 3 Bladedancer attacks to kill a rezzed lock. You're probably damaging them but not killing them.
-
2 RepliesAs far as I've experienced there is no I-frames on anything. For Strikers specifically though Unstoppable would let them survive a Arc Blade easily.
-
2 RepliesI think a few invincibility frames for a verrrry short time but there is added armor. Especially for Titans.

They're not invincible, but some supers do give you a ton of extra armor. Some of them are next to impossible to kill (especially Fist of Panic).
