I'm literal horseshit at this game. I've been stuck at the high wall of Lothric for a while now, I always get killed by the Knights of Lothric or the big transforming thingies. Can anyone help?
Update: The advice really helped guys, I ended up killing Vordt last knight! I got a decent way through the undead settlement and I'll hopefully get even further tonight. Thank you so much!

4 RepliesDodge, spend ALL of your souls on leveling up ASAP, get a good sword you feel comfortable, infuse it, reinforce it, stockpile embers, summon, spam attack, almost master parry. Turn into a dragon...

1 ReplyEdited by The Dark Hadou: 5/3/2016 3:40:19 PMAlways remember to keep some stamina for blocking/dodging when fighting enemies. Learn to resist the temptation to use it all in attacking as it's better to only get a couple of hits in and then be able to evade the counterattack than it is to get more hits in but be wide open when the enemy responds. If you have a group of enemies, use a bow to lure them out one at a time rather than engaging them all. Fire one arrow at one enemy out of aggro range and they'll come running at you without the rest of them even noticing that you're there. Most enemies can also be defeated in a 1v1 situation by locking on to them, circling around with your shield up, rolling under their attack (usually to the right) as they swing and then hitting them in the back/side a couple of times. Rinse and repeat until they're dead. Infusing a long sword with fire (and then reinforcing it accordingly) will also serve you well for most of the game and it's something that should be available to you fairly early on.

I should be able to help (I'm on Xbone too). General tips are to learn how enemies act. You should almost always play defensively against a new enemy. Don't bite more than you can chew. Better to slowly lure out and kill one enemy at a time than fight 3. Try to keep your weight under 70% and find a weapon you like and stick to it. The rest is mostly skills you'll get by playing, like roll timing and stamina management.

Bruh how are you that bad lol just take your time, be patient and don't always go for the kill right away, play with your opponent, he's an entire new person he has his own movesets and blocks and what not, learn those and you'll be fine
-
Don't die. -don't get greedy with your hits you will get insanely punished -don't fat roll (don't go over the 70% weight limit) -stick with it don't give up

I'll sunbro for you if you're still stuck.

Those transforming thingys lol... Best way to deal with them is run full speed up to them and slice em up before they transform. They are super weak before they go all resident evil. Tht or fire works really well if they already morphed.
but really you just need to git gud! We were all scrubs once so just keep at it bud.
Don't worry, I died about 12 times to Ludex Gundyr.

As long as you stay below 70% equip load you can roll. This allows you to just run past enemies you dont wish to fight. Don't hold your block when low stamina, your stamina will not regen if your blocking. For the knights try side stepping around them and going for back stabs. Learn when to kick, this is very useful. Engage 1 enemy at a time. Use a bow to shoot an enemy from a distance instead of fighting the horde. My fav. Throw fireballs, timing is key. Here's a simple one. Summon in help. You don't have to go it alone. (must be embered)

Edited by dova spook: 5/2/2016 7:00:00 PMThe knights are tough customers no doubt, I usually try to avoid them, but you can use a straight sword's stance attacks to get past their shields, or try to parry them. As for the big snakes, they are vulnerable to fire and are stunned by it. Use fire bombs or fireballs and they're a piece of cake.

Hoard Sunny D for your next playthrough.

3 Repliestry rear but hole Lol no, you got to know when to roll this time around more than blocking, it will save you 11 out of 5 times. Reinforce weapons you like, then they do more damage, same with shields but better blocking. Do whatever you can to increase your poise (how much you can get hit before you stagger). That's all I can think of right now.

Sure, just
git gud
1 ReplyFirst thing first, if you have a shield with 100% physical DEF, use it as it offers the best protection against enemies. Secondly, try to learn their moveset and wait for an opening to attack. Rolling is also a huge part of the game, the most important defense if used right. Use the rolling to dodge enemy attacks but the important thing to remember is to time it right(roll as soon as the enemy is about to attack) Lastly, if all things fail use the cheat code known as: The Summoning Jutsu.

It's a very simple process
you just don't \[T]/
1 Replythe transforming things are weak against fire if that helps at all. The knights aren't too bad if you manage to block their attacks and then circle around them until they attack, when they lunge at you with an attack roll to the right and get a couple hits in go in for the backstab and then continue to attack them once they start getting back up
