Stop using Sunbreaker and Striker in PvE boss fights

EDIT: HEY LOOK HERE! LOOK! NUDITY! TRUMP! CAITLYN JENNER! NERF FUSIONS! YEAR 3 GALLY! Ok. Now read this: This is one dude's opinion on the best way to play a titan in PvE. If you disagree, please explain but know that I am not saying you are wrong or that you need to play your game differently. I also know that not everyone takes random strikes as seriously as I do, which is totally fine. If this board is not a place to discuss different ways to play the game then I don't know what it is. Here's the important part: this is just my opinion. If you wanna run striker and try to FoH every boss into the ground, that's your right. But heroic strikes can be hard (especially of late with the early departure epidemic). Just consider whether or not your class choice is making the strike easier. Okay, all that said, here's my point: Your hammers are not doing significant damage to bosses, you're not generating a viable number of orbs and you're clouding the field of view with useless sunspots. I'll use a recent strike as an example, but note that these themes are universal. I was doing Will of Crota with a dude who insisted on running sunbreaker. The hunter and I would kill adds, go in for a sword run on Omnigul, and when we hear her scream, we run for it. >Boom- I hear that hammer sound. >"Oh cool. He's gonna take out the solar shield witches so we can get back in there," I think. >Nope. >He throws 100% of his hammers at Omnigul (whose arc shield is back up by now). >"Vinny. Get on the comms. Tell him to kill adds next time." >Yes yes. >Another sword run. She's a sliver of a sliver. >Boom- hammer time. >Annnnddd he's throwing them at Omnigul again. >Hunter kills her. Some variation of this happens in every boss fight wherein the titan refuses to be a defender. I play all three characters. I know defender is a little less exciting and feels a little passive. But the defender's utility in a boss fight cannot be overstated. In addition to weapons of light and blessing (which are invaluable in their own rights), the bubble can also be a temporary place to hide. The Omnigul fight is a prime example of why this is good: instead of running back to one of the safe areas when we need to reload/heal/drop a heavy, we can do it from a few meters from where she is.
