Why am I getting 334 drops when I'm 335? Thought this new system was supposed to drop items at your current light or higher. Is this a glitch or intentional? Really don't need 334 drops at 335.
Edit: been grinding iron banner for 3 hours at 335 to get a 335 ghost shell, one just dropped at 334. Really bungie? I'm going to bed, -blam!- this game.

Edit 4: Another 2 hours of iron banner, haven't even seen a ghost drop but my friend at 332 gets a 335 shell...
Edit 5: 2 1/2 hours, 334 ghost shell. Iron banner ends soon, and I'm glad. -blam!- this shit. Can't even get a response as to if this is a glitch or intentional, regardless it makes me not want to play.

Edit 7: after close to 6 hours of grinding ib after rank 5 I've [b]finally[/b] received one 335 ghost shell. That only 3 drops of ghost shells, [b]two[/b] of which were 334. Don't think I'll get another since ib ends soon.
Edit 8: got another 335 shell from the raid, but still getting 334s like crazy. Been breaking them down, atleast I'm not low on armor parts anymore.

They actually said gear will "try" to be at higher light than you currently are. You can't be 335 light with out already having a 335 ghost. I've been getting 320 and 330 gear drop from IB and I'm 335

They said if your 330, and have a 333 helmet on your could still get a 330 helmet, but gear is supposed to drop higher than your current light level. A 330 gets nothing under 330. A 307 gets nothing under 307. I'm 335. I'm geting tons of 334s (this is of course from activities that drop up to 335). WTF. Yes I have a 335 ghost, one. I don't want to switch it everytime I change my character, that's why I'm trying to farm out 2 more. With the new system, no way in hell your getting 320 items while playing at 335, unless it's an activity that doesn't drop up to 335. (ie normal raid drops)

This is pasted taken straight out of the April update patch notes. :: Light Legendary and Exotic drops from many sources now attempt to drop with Attack or Defense greater than your current character light level The following activities and items have been adjusted to include 335 Light items: Prison of Elders Passage Challenge Ticket Crucible Weekly Court of Oryx Tier 3 Artifacts Trials of Osiris See where it says "attempt" and not are garenteed. Don't like getting told I'm wrong when I'm not.

Like if your 330, and you have a 333 helmet you could get a 331 helmet. But if your 330, you will not get a 329 helmet. Yet, at light 335, you can get a 334 helmet. Play ib at 333, try to get a 332 ib item to drop post match. You can't.

It was iron banner. And the packages drop 320 blue class items .

Purple engrams that decrypt to exotics do not encrypt to matched light levels. Nor everything else does and nor was it meant to. I Watched the live stream buddy .

Examples of activities include but are no limited to iron banner drops, heroic kings falls drops, shaxx bounties. Not engrams (blue or purple). I watched the stream too.

Nowhere does it say about this garentee you speak of . And I never heard it or saw it in the stream . I'm still replying because I think it's a bit much to expect every engram (exotic) to be higher than your light . It would mean in less than a week most would be all 3 guardians 335 with nothing left to grind for other than that last piece of strike specific loot. Probably intended that the new light is to make the game more even for a time. And that the guns with the best perks are now a focus and plain skill not light level because let's face it,any noon can get to 335 now in no time at all

Well i destinctly recall deej saying the gear will "try" to be higher than current light level. I've gotten some shitty drops from raid and some good ones. If that's what they promised then they should look into it. I had my friends telling me that all exotic engrams will be higher than current light . I told them no. Now they can't frigging argue as the proof is in the pudding! What's a problem for me is getting 320 ghosts from the nightfall .

Nightfalls drop only up to 330, but the ghosts are glitched. Bungie knows about this and are working on a fix. Hopefully they become aware the 335 light gaurdians are getting 334s from activities that should be dropping 335s. Yes exotic engrams, that are supposed to also drop your light or higher, are dropping at 334s too.

I hope they address it, or at least someone would let me know if it is a glitch or intentional. At no other levels will items Drop under your light, if it's not a glitch it is bs.
