This is stupid. They grow the smoke so we can't move and then the grenade and there's nothing to do about it. We're dead the moment it happens. A way to fix this is the grenade hurts you but doesn't slow you down so so you get out at the same speed as normal and it will still stop sight and hurt. Dear bu how. Please fix.

Smoke grenade: Meant to slow, blind, and deal weak damage. You want to remove one of the key features of the grenade because you don't like dying to a combo less powerful than other subclasses?

Its whatever really, Nightstalker is wat it is, yes I've been killed by it and yes the combo is basically in insta kill almost, by the class super trap based and it's wat hunters needed (I'm main Titan BTW )

4 RepliesListen up kids cause I'm about to take the usual reasons and break down why they don't make sense, Barney style. "It shouldn't affect me in so many ways!" The combination of being blinded, slowed, poisoned, and suppressed is meant to set you up for an easy follow up kill. Removing any of these traits makes it not worth the effort. Even if the other 3 effects stayed the same, if I don't blind you, you could gun me down. If I don't slow you, you could run away. If I don't poison you, I might not do enough to you before the other traits wear off. If I don't suppress you, you could super me. "The Nightstalker is the only one who gets a grenade in the melee slot!" The Sunbreaker is the only one who can create sunspots. Gunslingers are the only class that can buff their gunplay from crit kills. The point is, each class has perks and advantages others don't. That's what makes that class special and makes destiny different from CoD. "I should be able to double jump while smoked!" Then why bother using two abilities when you can just jump out after taking a half second of damage? "If you get hit with the Wombo Combo, you're dead [insert stupidly high %]" The best thing about this particular combo is that walking is pretty damn effective. Unless I hit you dead -blam!-ing center and you panic, you have a chance to walk to safety. I've done it and seen it. Now if I start shooting you before or while in the combo, then you are dead. Which is how it should be since I spent two abilities and bullets to get 1 kill. But that's no different than being hit by an incendiary grenade before or after being shot.

Its not a good tactic. "Yeah lemme just use up all my tools for one kill." Its a waste. If people want to waste resources, let them. Its only hurting them in the long run

43 RepliesPlease don't take offence to this but that's a horrible idea. Nightstalker is a trap based subclass, taking away the slowing effect basically breaks the melee. Think about it the melee requires you to stay in it for a while so you receive the full damage. If it didn't slow enemies down, they would get out before they even had their shields brought down halfway (Assuming you aren't using envenomed). Any melee grenade combo kills the enemy. All you're doing is mixing perks and using your abilities to their full potential.

6 RepliesWe all know wombo combo is for scrubs and it sucks when we are caught in it, but nerfing it or reducing the damage also messes up pve. Smoke is very useful in pve bro.

Titan main. Hunters are fine. Don't use this myself on my Hunter because I didn't think of it, though I've seen it streamed on YouTube. You would penalize those that have thought of a good way to use them in combo? How about find a way to counter it instead. Enough things have been Nerfed or taken away. This game is a shell of what it was.

Using nightstalker is a tradeoff, you sacrifice something like golden gun, or arc blade, in exchange for an extremely strong neutral game. You get shadestep and wombo combo, but need to use tether. Also, in y1 bladedancer could throw an arcbolt and hit someone with blink strike for an instant kill. Did anyone call that broken? no.
