Fable Developer Lionhead Studios is closing today..
I guess everything Microsoft touches does die quicker than expected, your last games kinda sucked lionhead, but you made some great stuff.

It's definitely a sad day. I absolutely loved fable 1 & 2. I hope that Microsoft continues to make fable games in the future. It was a great franchise, and hopefully a good studio will work on something in the future. I didn't care for fable 3, and I wasn't excited for fable legends at all, so I can see why Lionhead would hit the chopping block.

They haven't had a hit game since Fable 2, so it's no surprise. Should have just made Fable 4 instead of that fable legends that no one was looking forward too

6 RepliesI'm not surprised, anyone who's ever bought a Peter Moleneux game knows never to make the same mistake twice. That guy promises so much for every game he develops and misses the mark by miles every time. The disappointment I felt for Bioshock Infinite and Destiny for not living up to their potential PALES in comparison to the disgust I have for that man as a game developer. No surprise his studio went belly up to be honest.

I played the original Fable so much growing up, and I picked up the remastered version on Xbox 360 the day it came out and did it all over again. I hope the people who lose their jobs can find work elsewhere within the industry. I was very skeptical of Fable Legends, but I'm still surprised to see it cancelled so far into development.

4 RepliesThis is one of the few gaming stories that actually makes me mad People talked shit about fables 2 and 3 but they were still really fun games. I was deifntely loojking forward to Fable 4 All this is is one more step towards more generic games. Atleast fable was different, had a decent story, and was a game you could play but not take so seriously

Fable The Lost Chapters (still the first game but with improvements) and Fable 2. Those are the only 2 games to come out of that studio I can say I enjoyed. While I don't like to see people out of work, some of them are moving on to other things. I can't say the studio will be missed, they haven't exactly had a huge impact on the industry in a long time. Fable Legends wouldn't exactly have been an industry changer, from what was being said around the internet it wasn't exactly getting much praise.

Very sad news. I enjoyed the Fable series more than I should have. Fable Anniversary is great game and highly recommend it. I wish those devs luck.
