Kicked for buying sterling treasure
Last week I was in a party doing challenge of elders and we started talking about sterling treasure boxes and buying them. I then began to tell them that I had bought ten just to try and get the taken set of armor. I got kicked shortly afterwards after a barrage of abuse and words like pay to win bs and other words I can't repeat here . This is what things have come to now in destiny .
EDIT: a lot of salty people surfacing here but also a lot of cool people ,surprisingly more than i expected,thanks to you all.

It's actually just a bigger sign of the Internet and human behaviour in general. I have no problem with buying silver for this cosmetic stuff. (That's my initial disclaimer.) Now for my doubts. I doubt that if you had to join a fireteam of strangers to do CoE, they would not then be the sort of people just to kick you because you'd bought in game items. Now don't get me wrong, it's possible, but it's just as possible nowadays that this whole thread is some sort of attention seeking fishing post. I don't know either way. So I take all posts with a pinch of salt. However I do find this one on the less believable end of the spectrum.

Modern gamers suck. I really don't understand people getting their panties in a wad over how someone chooses to spend their own money. It's not that fuggin serious and none of someone else's concern. Unless one player is paying another player's bills, feeding them, or fuçking them, it's really none of the other players business if someone buys shit in a video game with real money or not. It's not pay to win any fuçking ways. The shit drops at [u][b]3 light[/b][/u], you don't get ANY weapons, and you [b]possibly[/b] get a booster. How the holy fûck is that pay to win?!

People who say sterling treasure is pay to win are stupid. It drips at 3 defense, so you have to infuse it with gear you earned. And there's no weapons either.

Ignore them you earn it you spend it If you want to support bungie then so be it personally I've spent bout £5 on treasure but it seems to give me the wrong class of armour (hunter,I have one titan) so I'm not doing it until guaranteed you get the class of armour correct

Don't let it get to you. I personally spent over 120 in microtransactions for Destiny. Still nothing compared to the 600+ I spent on the game I played before destiny. And the 400 I spent on a minecraft server that recently closed due to pixelmon mod being dead

I was kicked from VoG during TDB for wearing VoG armor & weapons. they were afraid they'd have to carry me. (lol) sucks that those guys kicked you. #jealously

The stats dropped on high end gear are higher than Infused gear... I only recommend infusing those Sternling Treasure gear with 335 gear. Unless... I'm wrong.
