That nemesis in Iron Banner
You know the one. You just played 7 matches and finish consistently top three then you see him (or her). Was it the way they killed you that tipped you off? There's something different with this one and you know it but still you press on.
Then it happens again but this time it feels even more intimate. You remember their name and you chase them down. Every fight is a dance of death as you go back and forth icing each other. Mist the time it seems they gave the upper hand and then the match ends...... And they come bolting around the corner and you FLAME PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE!!!
Sure I got nothing for it but it sure made me feel better.
Edit 1: okay so last night on that twilight map there was a warlock that for some reason every time I threw a sticky grenade it stuck to him. Two or three sure but 6 or more..... He must've taken that personal.

Then the next match, he's in your team, and goes super negative lol Like seriously? Where's all that flanking, sliding through sniper lanes, slide scoping, duking that I saw last match?!?!

I got taken down by 'Her Majesty' like 7 times. I now dislike that shotgun--don't remember the name of the guy or even what class he was.

I think it is the best when you get matched against one of your friends, or in my case my brother as well, ran into him one match and he had a Conspiracy theory equipped and I was using NLB, so then I started raging and pulled out my full auto max range Felwinter and we went at it, ended up beating him by a mere 110 points...

3 RepliesSometimes a rivalry with a players cam drive you a little insane and sometimes it makes you play better. There's this one guy I seem to get matched against all the time (rarely on the same team) called InvestingPlains and man it can be really fun. Also i've noticed recently that more and more i'm getting matched against people I recognise so I guess the connection based matchmaking must be working

He was after me ever since. I must have sniped him, no joke at least 20 times in the 7 games we played together PS he was a terrible sniper

2 RepliesYep, yep, yep. Had this happen yesterday. One guy/girl took a mortgage out on me and owned me for two matches. I didn't die to anyone but them (and I wasn't going negative). This player was cleaning house and owning many an ass across my team. Then miracle of miracles, we were placed in the same team! They sucked. They finished second to last. WTF...?! I thought we were going to go on massive tears together? Somewhere and somehow, Bungie nerfed them. [spoiler]Or I had warmed up and was starting to hit my rhythms[/spoiler]

But once he was out of special I'd shoulder charge him into a gooey puddle of shattered teeth and pain. I sent him a friend request during our last match but he left and didn't accept. Fairwell my worth foe. May we dance the dance of death another day....

2 RepliesUsually my nemesis has yellow or red ping, I have more then 2 videos of tracer rounds penetrating walls while I jump behind cover. I cannot win against laggy players and I always have to question how people are able to afford Xbox live when they have to drink from puddles because there is no fresh water in their village.

Me and This other player last night kept exchanging headshots for 5 matches in a row. I give him/her mad props for being on par with me in sniping I usually always emerge victorious in snipe battles.

I was playing around trying out NLB since I just pulled a new one at 329 light and was getting the rare headshot every once in a while. then I realized I got quick scoped by none other than a NLB. I would luck out and get him every once in a while or just other enemies, and once the game was over we exchanged messages, added each other, teamed up, and continued to NLB away.

There was this one titan who would run juggernaut with twilight garrison and a party crasher. Fairly certain he didnt know how to use a primary. Goddamn was he annoying.
