Yeah they're the most used secondary, because Trials of osiris is dominated by passive players. And everyone wants to go to the Lighthouse at least once.
The reason why 1K was the most used weapon is because before the april update there were only 3 high impact snipers; spindle, eireene and 1K. 1K was te most used because people dont like the eireene scopes as well as people not wanting to waste an exotic spot.
Also from what you're saying it seems as though you have never used a sniper before.

I have used snipers before. I don't prefer them, but I'm reasonably useful with them. My statistics are available for anyone to examine and compare, why you'd bother saying something like that is beyond me. I've plenty of play time under my belt, mostly with PVP. I haven't once said snipers aren't good, or that they're easier to use than anything else, or that anyone who uses them is bad or wrong. All I've said is that you're not arbitrarily bad just because you use a shotgun. I did suggest that sniping isn't as difficult as many players try to make it out to be, and I personally believe that. I feel that the prevalence of their use goes to show they're not as inaccessible as some people would suggest.

Edited by RJ (.人.): 4/28/2016 1:34:55 AMYou do have a very valid point. But sniping has always been the same ever since launch, same prevalence as well imo. But also agreeing that shotgunning takes skill unlike what OP has said.

Sniping is difficult to do consistently in 6v6 id say in 3v3 it's easy because there's only 3 people to worry about and the play isn't as hectic I'd say shotguns are easier in 6v6 yet harder in 3v3 as you have less opportunities to catch people off guard

Sounds reasonable. More players means less room to move around freely, close range weapons would be better. Fewer players means more areas will be open, good opportunity to find a lane and wait for a good shot.

Exactly but that's what NLB / universal remote is for ;) Best of both
