Relic Crystal drop rate
Just spent over an hour on Mars collecting relic iron trying to find relic crystal for a Dark Drinker. After collecting 80 relic iron my grand total crystals found is....2. That's right, 2 relic crystals in 80 relic iron. If the drop rate continues it will take me 400 collects to reach my goal. Come on Bungie, I think that's a little overboard. Maybe up the drop rate...just a bit, please.

I heard you can only get the crystals from actual materials out on land. Not not chests.

You know the spot right before the train station entrance. just keep on doing loops in there and you will be able to farm a lot of relic iron in as little time as possible.

Everyone I know it took 180-200 or so. They kinda come in bunches. Like you'll get 2 or 3 pretty quickly then not get another for a long time. Just keep at, you're halfway there.

3 RepliesI was farming helium for my sword and what I noticed was that the same area I got my first unique fragment was the place I got all of them. I also left the moon after getting one then came back after doing something else. I think there is a cool down period after you get one and that you need to do something else to reset the cool down faster. I got 10 unique and 160 or so regular helium over a week, spending 15 to 30 minutes a day farming. I figured it was better to spend a little time each day rather then spend all my time over a couple of days to get to the same results.
