So I've only been playing since December. I don't know everything. But I was playing with 2 seasoned vets, and I figured something out they didn't know. So I'm only posting this for people who didn't know, because it can matter so much. I know I'm not the person to figure this out. I'm assuming most people know, but some don't.
Vex precision kills. For casual players like me, that's the robot race people. I always would shoot their heads off, and found getting a precision kill afterwards was near impossible, because there's no more head to shoot. So I always tried to shoot their empty neck hole, but it never worked well. Until this past week playing poe 42 needing headshots, I finally saw that shooting them not in the head, but the glowing part of the abdomen actually is how to get a precision shot in them. Not the head.
Yes I know a lot of people probably know this. Got ya. But I know a lot of people had no idea. Go try it out. I felt so dumb.
Edit: so it looks like many people here didn't look at my name, or don't know what it means. Check the spoiler. No I didn't know. It's not b8 or bait or bate, or a joke, or a knock knock, or satire. I'll be the first to admit I felt foolish when I found out knowing probably most people already knew. So I wrote this post ready for the mass amounts of comments to just be calling me stupid. Which if I actually took them serioisly, I would be stupid. And you all know this already. I'm not 12. Or 13. I'm 15. Jk. But if I helped one person today know this, then I have done my job. And I think there was one person who didn't, so I have completed my work here.
Edit 2: I'm very surprised to see some actual positive comments on here, even if it didn't help them. You were nice and karma will reward you. For all those saying negative things... keep going, I'm bored.
Feel free to use this post now however you'd like. Say the most random crap, attack me, attack someone else, convert people to Christianity. Whatever. And as always stay toasty.

5 RepliesWha?? Naaaaa! I thought it was just for looks!
please be satire
-
6 RepliesGood for you to be mature enough to share. Btw vex minotaurs have no crit spot, all other vex do.
-
Harpies crit spot is their eye
-
1 ReplySince only 9% of your hobgoblin kills are with precision shots, i think you are actually telling the truth. Damn son, you must have hated the vex before gaining this knowledge.
-
1 ReplyEdited by Selario: 4/25/2016 6:58:15 PMWow, thank you so much for this information! I never was aware of this and I will be sure to pass it on.
Hehe.
1 ReplyThe guide or magazine that came a bit before destiny release has this under "pro tip". lmao.
-
1 ReplyI have known this for awhile now. But I know that a lot of people didn't. Sorry for any hate you're dealing with, I appreciate the post! Have a nice day!
-
1 ReplySo you're saying your aim has been so good that you never accidentally hit the ACTUAL precision spot enough times to come to your senses?
Bad b8 is bad
-
1 ReplyHow did you honestly shoot the head, see white(body shot) numbers and think that was the crit? Every crit in the game has big yellow numbers, and you never accidentally shot them in the stomach and saw a yellow number...? Common sense really isnt all that common
-
1 ReplyLol I didn't know this till summer last year and I played on the month it came out...
-
1 ReplyNever noticed the Bounty "shoot them in the juice box" ? It's a bright glowing spot. Obviously a critical spot. Is this your first FPS or video game? It's a very common thing across many different games. Glowing critical spots.

3 RepliesEdited by nickhendry: 4/25/2016 8:14:32 PMTwo ways to look at this: 1.) makes sense considering every other enemy is to the head, wouldn't have even thought about it. Or 2.) after playing for 5 minutes after I got the game I killed some vex and noticed I glowing spot on their chest with no armor and decided to shoot at it and saw yellow numbers. Even spraying with an auto rifle you would still see some yellow numbers and if it took you 4 or 5 months to figure it out maybe you should get another game
and I smoke a lot of weed

along with half the player base
If you do the story, the stranger is finishing a vex by crushing not the head but the abdomen. That's a big "hint"
-
1 ReplyAim for the juice box.
-
Well this is cute. I'll take it over a nerf post any day.
-
1 ReplyGood call... now I am still trying to find the precision shot on shanks and minotaurs (after blowing their eye)
-
Well I guess this is why we call them Christmas noobs
-
2 RepliesWHAT?!? You're telling me shooting VEX in the glowy spot is the crit?!? This entire time I've been running raids in the VoG I have NEVER been able to figure out where the crit spot is! I figured the glowy thing just made them stronger.
-
1 Replylol, so how dumbfounded were you? and btw vex minotars have no percision hitboxes.
-
1 Replywhen there's no satire tag :/
-
2 RepliesI heard this story once about how a person assumed that because Icebreaker was "solar" that it recharged faster in bright areas versus caves.
-
According to your stats you have killed 5000 goblins and 1100 hobgoblins and you're just now figuring this out??
-
Blaming weed for not knowing something? That's lame.... you have forgotten the face of your father maggot!
-
Thnx guardian, I've been playing a long time and have known that for a while, but I'm glade you posted this to help other people. I didn't really think about it but there are probably a lot of new guys and gals and some may not have known yet, good looks bro now puff puff pass lol
