So I've only been playing since December. I don't know everything. But I was playing with 2 seasoned vets, and I figured something out they didn't know. So I'm only posting this for people who didn't know, because it can matter so much. I know I'm not the person to figure this out. I'm assuming most people know, but some don't.
Vex precision kills. For casual players like me, that's the robot race people. I always would shoot their heads off, and found getting a precision kill afterwards was near impossible, because there's no more head to shoot. So I always tried to shoot their empty neck hole, but it never worked well. Until this past week playing poe 42 needing headshots, I finally saw that shooting them not in the head, but the glowing part of the abdomen actually is how to get a precision shot in them. Not the head.
Yes I know a lot of people probably know this. Got ya. But I know a lot of people had no idea. Go try it out. I felt so dumb.
Edit: so it looks like many people here didn't look at my name, or don't know what it means. Check the spoiler. No I didn't know. It's not b8 or bait or bate, or a joke, or a knock knock, or satire. I'll be the first to admit I felt foolish when I found out knowing probably most people already knew. So I wrote this post ready for the mass amounts of comments to just be calling me stupid. Which if I actually took them serioisly, I would be stupid. And you all know this already. I'm not 12. Or 13. I'm 15. Jk. But if I helped one person today know this, then I have done my job. And I think there was one person who didn't, so I have completed my work here.
Edit 2: I'm very surprised to see some actual positive comments on here, even if it didn't help them. You were nice and karma will reward you. For all those saying negative things... keep going, I'm bored.
Feel free to use this post now however you'd like. Say the most random crap, attack me, attack someone else, convert people to Christianity. Whatever. And as always stay toasty.

I don't think those "vets" were very seasoned.

took me a couple of weeks to work out how to spawn a sparrow. running around like a bell end thinking I'll get a sparrow when I level up to a certain level or something. auto fire on last word was another revelation.

5 Replieshaha. its always funny how silly you feel after realizing something you should have known a lot earlier, or something that after you learn it seems blatantly obvious. It took me about a month to learn how to switch to my heavy weapon. I played a lot of the story and a ton of crucible not knowing how to do this.

Aim for the juice box?

2 RepliesThis is pretty much on the same line as not TLW is Full Auto, or a glowing level indicator meaning someone's super is charged. It's actually pretty cute.

1 ReplyFPS rule number 1: Shoot the glowing thing.

Is this really a thing people don't know? The vex have what's called the definition of a video game weak spot: a big glowing bit. I figured that out the moment I saw them.
-
Lol. Just remember, yellow numbers are precision shots. And to be fair, the taken versions of the vex DO take precision damage in the head.
-
And that's what happens when you play too much crucible
-
It took me playing throught the Vanilla missions to figure this out. Man, that was such a long time ago. Good times.

Edited by drackiller: 4/26/2016 7:34:22 AMThe first mission we do on Venus show us the sweet spot of them, just when the Stranger crushes one of them in the belly. But many of us knew that before that moment cause of the yellow numbers ;)

year two ? when would you ever even fight the vex to learn this... I completely understand.
-
I never knew this for like 2 weeks into playing lol

1 ReplyHas someone bumped this from year one day one?

Wooow! There are people that didn't know that? And people don't even know they're called vex? That actually surprises me. Snd the so called "veterans". They are not veterans if the didn't know that.

Edited by Tempest: 4/26/2016 7:08:32 AMSeasoned vets my ass. You were playing with kinderguardians if they didn't know how to get a vex precision kill.
